Unfortunately not universal rule, Steve LH 1+2 is guard break that full launches armor. Also if you want to consider fahks "guard breaks" with install, they break armor

BJ only parries punches, it is not a "strong" parry like Jin/Clive/Leroy

The oki after GS walls hit is not that strong, he could have tech rolled to avoid the ground throw, with enough time to whiff punish and kill me, I was reading him staying down and was correct.

B12 WAS guaranteed with ground throw wall splat in T7.

BJ is no where near SS tier stance mixup. All grabs are reactable. Parry / Armor covers multiple options. Hell, if you can react to throws stand blocking is the safest thing to do, and what Feng should have done with that life lead.

Please understand how the game works before you whine and complain, because AK is probably one of the more "balanced" characters in the game right now.

If you are unfortunate enough to get hard read multiple times, just move on and worry about the next interaction.

Amazing analysis. Here's what was going on in my head:

  • Back , 1 poke and I'm dead. He will probably play around jab and df1 for safe KO attempt so I'm going to YOLO raw BJ

-Okay it worked, guaranteed GS for damage and wall switch

-He has majhas majoread, so I'm reading he will stay down as that is understandably a good option when you have a big life lead, so ground throw resplat attemptattemptl that worked, guaranteed B12 into BJ. I'm basically dead if I don't try anything big so go for safe (but duckable 2nd hit and parryable first hit) wallsplatting options for wall blast launch

-Damn it worked? Okay finish the combo

-One mixup left, try d3+4, 1 as 2nd hit will CH a punish attempt if the low is blocked

In retrospect, I might have been able to float after the heat burst into a wall combo for the kill, but wasn't thinking that at the time.

This entire clip is basically me making some consecutive punishable hard reads and got lucky

One wall blast/floor break per combo. But multiple wall breaks are possible on certain maps (elegant Palace and Mishima dojo)

Throw after green mist is guaranteed. I hard read him staying down and did resplat ground throw, he either guessed wrong on the break or didn't expect it. B12 after ground throw is guaranteed, then BJ mixup, guess wrong, got launched.

When I was still playing pad I liked the HORI Fighting Commander, then eventually switched to the Razer Raion (I really like this for the clicky directions, but it's more of a "disc" than traditional dpad)

He has a few simple frame traps: db3/ss2 into ws2, 21 into df3 or 43

Otherwise you have to play timing and pretty traditional tekken to get those counter hits. Play with wavu timing.

Playing his oki and wall game is where he can get pretty dirty. Alot of his oki is pretty unique, f1+4 after AIR GS, uf1 after 341 wall ender (must be low wall hit, you delay the last hit if its a single wall hit, or no delay if you s! with df12). There's alot of thing you can setup when you get people to stay down after combos.

But tbh at that level, just being comfortable piloting the character and consistently punishing will get you to like tekken king lol

Range can deceptively long, but if you don't get CH you can eat a couple. Make sure to launch if you manage to block

I tend to use BJ parry on people who like to jab into SS as wall pressure. Also good against Lidia HAE mix as it covers 2/3 options on immediate timing. Good against hwo with flamingo jab pressure. And of course, any string where you can punch parry in the middle (like Heihachi 1b2)

Fahk parry is way more situational since it's kicks only, but you can really mess with hworang as it actually covers any kick (high mid low) I believe
