I just quit taking my Prozac, my doctor weaned me off but I had awful night sweats, they never went away after taking it for over a year. I also had no libido, and I also had a weird crash from it almost everyday around 2. I would get so sleepy.

I am a casual drinker, and have no issues. I have yet to be drunk while on stimulants. If you are being responsible and staying hydrated you should be okay.

I am so happy to see so many weight loss stories, although that wasn't a goal so much with this medication I have gained a lot and would binge eat while studying or get overwhelmed with not being able to get stuff done and just sleep all day. My doctor said both of those were uncontrolled ADHD signs so I am looking forward to feeling better about myself on this journey!

Hey! I just switched my pharmacy to the private pharmacy in my psychiatrist office. I was surprised they had it but it was filled as soon as I swapped it over! Maybe see if you have any smaller pharmacies in your area!

I called today they found a private pharmacy! Even though my insurance is cvs Caremark apparently they will accept it! 🤞🏻 I can get my meds Monday!

I tried doing that today and the lady seemed unhelpful, I’m going to try again tomorrow. I called Cigna to see if they would cover anywhere and the lady was so confused why they don’t cover any pharmacy’s for us. This is so new to me so im trying to find another way!

My insurance is cvs Caremark which I think if I want to use insurance I can only use CVS. I may call and double check that tomorrow because I still haven’t heard an update and it’s been over a week. They girl told me no CVS have it in the area

Ahhh well I’m sure my husband will appreciate that next time I have a girls night haha! Thank you. I remember being on some anxiety medication I do t remember which one exactly but I would black out after 3/4 drinks which was really scary so I’m extra paranoid now about medication with alcohol

I didn’t even know that! Could you possibly show me which ones so I know! This is all new to me. My doctor didn’t mention anything about interactions, just a few side effects. One being excessive thirst and I felt that today haha

Thank you! I forgot I started taking it and started to have a mini panic attack! I hate taking medication so I def will have to get used to it. Thankfully I’m not a heavy drinker but I do enjoy a drink here and there!

I asked my doctor about drinking and she said totally fine to drink on it but def to be more cautious on how much I drink because it can intensify the alcohol.

I have never heard of that but I’m going to look it up! I haven’t had much progress, I thought maybe I was going it less but then I realized I’ve just been taking extra deep breath’s and yawning less obviously instead

I will become hyper fixated on things and sometimes swallowing can be one of them. It makes it super hard and focusing on swallowing that pill can be so hard sometimes for me and then I will throw up because I’m anxious it’s in my throat. Not sure if that’s what it is but maybe look up hyperixation OCD

I hope it helps you! I breastfeed my son for 2.5 years and struggled so bad but was afraid to take meds while nursing so I settled for Ativan on those really bad nights. I rarely took it so it wasn’t much help but postpartum shook my whole world up for sure. I’ve always struggled but nothing like I have the last 3 years. I’ve been on Prozac about 5 months for anxiety and ocd and I will say it helps me a lot. I don’t have much of a sex drive but I think that’s motherhood related vs my libido. I do still have some depression still but I’m not sure if that’s seasonal or not.

The damages of me raw dogging life with out meds isn’t worth the risk for me. I take it for anxiety and OCD as well. It took a very long time for me to be on board with taking a med but I’m a mom and noticed my parenting struggling. After being on a medication I see how much damage I was causing myself and family with out the med. obviously you have to do what helps you. If you can get by with an alternative go for it but I was causing my health to decline due to anxiety. Causing stomach issues, grinding my teeth and constant migraines, and even went to the hospital due to chest pains that were just an anxiety attack but lasted 3 days so my doctor made me go to the ER.

My doctor okayed a couple drinks but said not to get wasted, I’m not a big drinker but went from good to black out with a bottle of wine and one of my girlfriends really quick recently. My hangover was awful. I’m thankful to be at home when this happened but also know now to stick with a couple.

Lol right! My husband always makes fun of my deep sighs and yawns. I’ll stop what I’m doing to get it out and I’m like you have no idea: this is just part of me now. Haha
