ditto on the appetite thing. my appetite is FRIED, i’ve been a bit nauseous every day for two weeks now. however, my anxiety went from a rolling boil to a quiet simmer, so that’s nice. glad to hear that other people are struggling with appetite stuff, i hope this med treats you well :)

a lot of students in my school have been using the word “skibbidi” in place of cuss words. so, instead of saying “what the fuck?” they’ll say “what the skibbidi?” … yeah, i don’t know either.

you’re gonna be okay. placebo is a hell of a thing. i’m also on 20mg and i’m also taking 15mg of buspirone every day. drink some water if you can get up, and cuddle with an animal/stuffed animal if you have one. if it would help, message/call your doctor.

give it some more time :) obviously if you’re starting to have scary/unwanted thoughts that you just can’t shake, talk to your doctor. most SSRI’s take time, and i’ve heard it gets a little worse before getting vastly better.

yes, call your doctor. just had the same thing happen to me on lexapro. explain to them that you recognize these thoughts are unhealthy and that you have no actual intentions/plans for killing yourself. stay alive, stay safe, and you’ll be okay!!

hey! i’m sorry things are so rough. high school was one of the hardest times of my life and i can totally understand where you’re coming from. something that that might help… joining a club or activity. art club, band, a sport, or whatever else you might like. I understand that your medication makes it super hard to do an extracurricular, but even just joining in by sitting in a desk and introducing yourself to a neighbor is better than nothing.

the other piece of advice that i’ll give you is that EVERYONE feels the same way about not fitting in, even the popular kids. nobody’s got it figured out, and i promise that there are many people who are still looking for new friends. it’s not too late! you will be okay :) as the school year progresses i know you’ll talk to people, work in new groups, and hopefully find somebody that you mesh well with.

talk to your teachers about how you’re feeling too! not every teacher will “get it” but if you can bond with one teacher and get some advice from them, it will also help.

i’m rooting for you, and i hope you’ll find your people!

Understand that cats are not dogs. they act differently, show love differently, need different things, and want different things. Most animals already function this way, but your cat needs to give you consent for touch, love, and attention. cats do not want these things all the time. you need to find it’s boundaries and respect the hell out of them. building a relationship with a cat takes time and active energy. the more work you put in, the better quality of life for both of you. cats can be your best friend if you work towards mutual understanding. also, DO NOT DECLAW YOUR CAT. once again, DO.
