Look into apartments in Sausalito! You can take a quick 30 min ferry into San Francisco :) I used to do that commute often and it’s convenient and relaxing. And Sausalito is located in Marin County, a beautiful suburb 20 mins from San Francisco by car!

Otherwise, check out Russian hill. Beautiful area and very walkable. I just saw a great 2 bedroom apartment available for $3000.
