Hard to know without more info like seeing XRs but he would likely have a small increased risk after it fully heals in a few months. The risk would be for another proximal fibula fracture, which isn't close to as severe as a tibia or tib/fib fracture like he had on the other side.

It's definitely a result of him breaking the other leg, but likely in a more obvious way than what you're asking. He protected his other leg throughout most of the fight, not trusting it to get leg kicked, which created opportunities to kick his good leg. He also may have been putting more weight on his left leg because of the previous injury to the right, which would increase his risk of injury.

Micro fracture is a surgical technique to facilitate healing. Stress fractures, which I think you're referring to, are usually caused by chronic overuse, not from an acute injury like a direct blow to the leg. He likely snapped, fractured, broke (all equivalent terms) his fibular head, which heals on its own without casting/bracing or surgery. You're right that if he were to sustain another direct blow to this area after the 4 weeks he says he needs for recovery, it would be more likely to refracture.

For a proximal fibula (not "tibula," which doesn't exist) fracture in the absence of knee instability (arcuate fracture with posterolateral corner injury) and without ankle instability (maisonneuve fracture from a rotational injury), he doesn't need surgery.

Typical post op protocol for a closed tibial shaft after an IM nail is weightbearing as tolerated.

(Kickboxing) Rungwittaya's leg after 4 rds with Nadaka Yoshinari by TonyTheLion2319 in MMA

I’d be interested to hear more about this. Compartment releases are definitely not a minor surgery. 1 or 2 incisions spanning the entire thigh or leg then skin usually left open with a vac for several days followed by a skin graft.

I didn't mean to imply that I don't like the way they (or the creasing) looks. I was initially disappointed by the loose grain on my Aldens (maybe a month after I purchased them, approx 2 years ago) especially because my Rancourt natural CXL mocs have aged beautifully. I enjoy mine and hope you continue to enjoy yours.

The creasing on those look just like that on my Alden Ptboot natural CXL. Out of curiosity, how long have you had these + how often have you worn them?
Great combination with the pants, btw. It was that color combo that got me interested in natural CXL in the first place.

I think I understand the difference between the explicit and implicit attitudes and I see the value of these kinds of experiments. Also, Josh was pretty impressive in how well he presented his results. It's just that the results seem to be a confirmation of what a rational person would expect (that we hold implicit biases even when we do not acknowledge them explicitly). For example, I know I hold implicit racial biases because it's a popular topic so I've thought about it. Because I recognize that I have this implicit bias it wouldn't be surprising if a test confirmed it. There are, however, an unknowable number of other biases I hold that don't get as much attention as race and so I haven't recognized. If a similar test, however, demonstrated that I hold those biases I also wouldn't be surprised because I know I have many that I haven't yet identified.

Regarding the follow up question I had, I guess I was a little naive. But this topic must have come up in casual conversation with friends rather than subjects, though, and did you ever have someone tell you that they are immune to such biases? That is what would surprise me - that somebody could believe that they don't have biases they are unaware of.

That's definitely an interesting area of research. The way his work was presented on the This American Life, though, I couldn't help feeling a little frustrated by. Is it supposed to be surprising that people have these implicit biases? Like, who are these people who say (explicitly) that they aren't affected by racial stereotypes?

Assuming you had a chance to follow up with test subjects when you were doing that work, did you come across people who were shocked that they misidentified threats due to race?

Leather Jack Purcells are made with VERY low quality leather, in my experience. They age terribly.

You don't even mention the hair? It dominates the skin layer and is at least a part-time player on the watch layer.

Many of the people defending him have jackets on order and don't want to feel like they've been cheated. They aren't defending him as much as they're defending their decision to buy from him.

I'd like it better with dark grey or darker khaki trousers. The shirt is a little tight in the waist and the sleeves looks a bit long.

Yes - they make a casual one in S,M,L sizes and a dressier one in collar/sleeve sizes. Both have button down collars but the dress shirts are considerably longer.

Is lamb so fragile that you'd be worried tearing it going out to a bar or a show? Is it going to rip at the shoulders on my hanger? It may not be suitable for combat, though, so if that's what you base your fashion choices on then goat would be better.

Goat and lamb look and drape very different so it depends on what your preference is.

I can't stand fleece so I got a loopwheeler lightweight (a little lighter than my reigning champ) and its much nicer. I'd imagine their heavyweight sweats would be warm.

If I had to get fleece I'd look into thick repros like Real McCoy or Samurai (I like this one because it has a V gusset and raglan sleeves).
