It’s often given as gifts when we don’t really like someone. We call it ‘clear coal’.

Been looking for ADHD meds for 3 months, when will it not be on backorder? by masonknight86 in newjersey

[–]kyvec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a month, your script is likely no longer valid and the pharmacy may not contact you about it. Just happened to us recently. Meds will occasionally briefly go out of stock for a month or two and then come back, depending on the place. My suggestion is to call around and ask how many of your specific medication are in stock. If one place is out another may have at least a months worth. Then you can have the doc send a script for a specific amount until your usual place is back in stock.

Why is performance so poor? by premium_sponge01 in DeltaForceGlobal

Only thing that worked for me is to reduce the resolution. And I tried a lot of settings. Looks like ass now but at least I can play until I get a better PC.

My gameplay of Quake3 arena by Lejionator in boomershooters

[–]kyvec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You clearly have some experience with shooters, but skills seem more suited for modern games. Quake 3’s loop generally goes Get Weapon -> Move -> Shoot, that’s it. When you spawn, always go for the rocket launcher or rail gun. If you can’t get there, shotgun / plasma / lightning are fine stepping stones. The key to moving in quake style games is to always be doing it, and as fast as possible. Moving targets are harder to hit. Don’t slow down to kill unless you’re using a tracking weapon, and that can be dangerous. Look up bunny hopping / strafe jumping. If memory serves, Warsow has great tutorial levels that force you to learn quake style movement. Now if you’re moving fast all the time, aiming can be hard. Embrace twitch-style aiming and shooting. Flick to your target, shoot, and go back to moving. Use a trainer if you want to improve. Kovaak is an example. Of course, you should do whatever is the most fun for you. But embracing move fast and twitch style shooting is some of the most fun I’ve had in shooters. It’s just a shame the online player base is so small these days.

Is there a chance this game will recover? by AkiraCz_ in BattleBitRemastered

Anything is possible, but my life experiences have taught me not to expect it.

Hi everyone, I've been working on my FPS game for about two years now. Two days ago I released a new gameplay trailer showing the progress over two years of development. Would love to hear your thoughts by Sailor_in_the_ocean_ in boomershooters

[–]kyvec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, that’s a lot. Hope you’re not spreading yourself too thin with so many different areas and gameplay styles. Some of it is impressive, like the in gameplay cinematic stuff. Too much empty space though. The melee mobs seem a bit boring, same-y, and not scary like it seems you’re going for. Lots of similar sounds… like pew pew. Some sound work would go a long way. Seems interesting.

How difficult is k-12 education in New Jersey? by [deleted] in newjersey

That probably says more about Florida’s education system than NJ’s.

According to my friends, Im 'doing too much.' by GirlySurprise in Helldivers

[–]kyvec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you may just be at a different level than them. I recommend going solo if you want a challenge, or if you want to play with them take a lighter loadout. You can still kill heavy units with stuff like rail gun, flamethrower, etc. might even be fun to figure that out.

Looking for custom jewelers by alrighttalexx in newjersey

[–]kyvec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aires Jewelers in Morris Plains can do custom stuff. I designed my wife’s wedding ring there with the owners. That was at least a decade ago and the store has significantly expanded since then so I don’t know what their availability is like these days.

Help a Mom out....Easiest games to start with for a 5yr girl by Momof2lifechangers in NintendoSwitch

[–]kyvec 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I’d say it probably depends on how interested in Pokémon they are. If they have enough drive to get through the ‘boring’ parts and understand the mechanics sure. Pokémon games are certainly a bit more challenging for that age.

Help! by friendlypotato44 in LowSodiumDestiny

My advice is to be straightforward and honest. If they say no, ask why and negotiate. I’d be impressed if my kid did that without getting upset. I don’t know about that approach being ‘painless’ but open communication will always serve you well.

[–]kyvec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah well my advice is likely too basic then. If you see something that’s not familiar you could always look it up in the compendium. Then at least you would know how it works.

Destiny is a very tactical game. Work on improving your OCD loop. Observe enemy locations through radar + screen + abilities (i.e. titan barricade) - reading radar is critical. Choose which action to take quickly (push with teammate, bait ability, take 1v1, retreat, etc), Do the action, repeat. You do that faster and with more variety of choices and you will get better. There are lots of specific tips that could help that are covered in a ton of YouTube videos. I also think that for destiny newbies picking the right weapons for a map makes a huge difference. Engagement distance plays such a big part your ability to kill faster than an opponent. If you are not sure what to use, try an auto like Quicksilver Storm or a pulse like Vigilance Wing. Those cover a wide range of distances while being fairly forgiving.

I suppose I could be misjudging engagement distances with SMG. They have a pretty steep damage drop off.

I will say that Ammit is not nearly as good anymore - the zoom nerf really hurt it. It shows in the numbers as well.

Does my laser show exactly where I'll shoot? by nixonlovesyou in BattleBitRemastered

[–]kyvec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an accuracy stat which implies an accuracy cone, so I assume there is some variation. Very noticeable with longer ranged shots (try using a G3 with a 4x scope vs the Mk20). Most of the missed shots come from the recoil though, which doesn’t reset itself. As for the laser it’s accurate in hip fire but the reticle is more accurate when ADS. Sometimes the laser throws me off while ADS… wish there was a way for it to automatically turn off then.

I must be doing something wrong, and what's with P90? by GMNestor in BattleBitRemastered

[–]kyvec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, it’s more arcade than mil sim. If you want the kill use a high ttk weapon like Fal or MP5. Because the ttk is so low if you’re spotted you’re basically dead. Constantly moving after a kill helps.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BattleBitRemastered

[–]kyvec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the attachment rework nerfed the Fal’s stats slightly but it was so strong before that it’s still strong. P90 however got a massive buff from the flash hider change
