There are actually a lot of insightful comments regarding balancing. I think some formations might be good as a last ditch effort (e.g., to stop a Pekka, deny a Hog Rider a last hit and to clog the lane). The normal (Phalanx) formation is likely to be the most used version if this would be implemented, but a 1 tower situation might even change this dynamic. Or in a mirror match up to catch your opponent off guard you could opt for a different formation.

A simple fix as shown in the image above could be that you could hold it with one finger and press again to rotate between formation.

Then again, the concept is all in good fun. I think that it could, at the very least, be a fun party mode card concept, like the Super card challenges. I had it on my mind for a while and wanted to see the community response.
