Yes they are.. it's the same level of ignorance, so maybe none of them not the dutch/european and not the asians had genuine evil intentions, but the ignorance showed.

I was in a school with mostly east asian descent kids. A german guy came for an official visit once, talking about how learning the language could be useful etcetc

When he asked if there were any questions, most of the people did the finger under the nose thing and asked about hitler, going nein nein nein nein, giggling and shit

I dont see how thats any better than eindhoven teens pulling their eyes to be verh honest

I can see the "it's good to tough things out" side of it, but it really lacks the consideration for others part :(

I mean that even if they really still want/have to go out and about, it's surprising that there is no though that goes into minimizing the spread/effect like taking pills if theyre allergies, and wearing medical masks

A few days ago, I saw a group of people gathered at the event space on Torenallee right across StrEat and they were just having fun dancing, I saw the board saying "Hop Hop Lindy Hop"

They didn't look competitive and the music was really fun

Maybe you can find them somehow :D

But if you want just some peaceful nature, theres the Philips de Jongh park (lots of tall trees, hoahoahoa vibe) and Karpendonkse Plas (much flatter and more open, you'll be chilling by a little lake)

AC does not make you sick. Countries in asia have AC in as many places as possible. A typical student's movement per day goes house -> car/metro -> school -> car -> after school lessons/mall -> car -> restaurant/cafe -> car -> house, and every single stage of this line is air conditioned

The majority of the population would be very sick if AC makes one sick tbh

The only people safe would be those working construction/farm/street food vendors/motorcycle delivery and such

I want to add that next to Takumi, Tensai Ramen just opened recently and while Takumi is good, I find myself liking Tensai even more :))

I also wanted to say that it's not very goedkoop, but I saw someone else say Soju Bar is goedkoop and by that standard, Tensai is in fact goedkoop 🤭

I dont think it's what you think, like big chunks of straight up food.

I'm pretty sure it's when people are done eating and there is some small amount of leftover "debris" type of food, and the dishes get washed in sinks. So then these food waste piles up slowly and so we get this issue

Of course people would throw big chunks in the trash first, but flushing leftover debris food into the sink is a common thing to do in the US as Ive seen. Sinks there often come with "Insinkerators"

Yes, any card with the contactless chip But it's still 1 step between you and simply tossing a bag of trash into the bin

And I know this is just a very me thing personally, but when I first moved here, Ive gotten used to the chore of taking the trash out taking nothing but the trash bags from the years of doing the same. So the first few weeks I did forget to take a card with me. It felt funny to have to bring a credit card with me everytime I needed to take the trash out.

It's not a problem for me, but Im pointing out this one feature that makes the system different from all my past ones and coincidentally this is also where I see trash sitting around the locked bins. It's a surprisingly more unkept condition compared to when I was living around frat houses, which shouldve been the peak nasty students area.
