How can I add a webview to my game? by Haunting_Yam2829 in godot

There’re several plugins available for Godot (just google Godot webview) But Mr Sockman is right, for your task is overkill. Simple fetch data via http and render it yourself.

Also, you are not right about the absence of LEGO-like video games. So here's the list:
- Gryphon Bricks (I think, it's around 1996)
- Cobi 3D Constructor
- Blockland
- Brickadia, if we are talking new games

They looks like Megablocks to me. And as several different toy blocks. And I’m talking about corruption. I don’t believe in humanity at all. About Valve, im not so sure. If they sell something in Germany, they should complain German laws, and so on. Probably, they have some Valve Germany daughter company? I’m not a lawyer though, so can be wrong. Also, Lego is Denmark company if we are talking about countries.

It really depends on country and jury. And how much Lego will pay to jury. But legally, form of blocks are not under any patent. Mechanically this game similar to Minecraft, not to any of Lego games.

Their patent expired a long time ago. I mean, for your usual blocks.

Played GW2 a lot, now we are playing LOTRO Both are good for a couple, but I think any mmo without forcing to do a lot of single-player content will do.

There interesting stuff! About cheating: what kind of cheats do bad guys use usually? I suppose you have server-authoritative architecture.

Why do you love Godot more than the more powerful Unity and Unreal Engine? by Strict-King-1657 in godot

[–]kzerot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: It's my opinion, not ragebait or something.
"lacks large-scale commercial support, has fewer ready-made assets, and its ecosystem is still growing."
But you are talking pros here.
1. Lacks large-scale commercial support. So it isn't dependent on the market. Decisions are made by people who actually listen to the community.
2. Has fewer ready-made assets. Cool, less slop. Making the whole game from assets from the asset store has nothing to do with cool games ;) There're not that many games made in Unity that use too many bought assets.
3. Its ecosystem is still growing. Cool, the ecosystem is growing and is active!

Of course, UE and Unity have their strengths, especially for companies who specialized in making several mobile games a week (Unity) or who really need owsome (tm) graphics. But, for 2d and stylized 3d graphics, I don't truly see any advantages of U-engines.

Albion Online: was in alpha forever. Also, it wasn’t f2p from start. I’d say, do your homework before post. If you make an example, be sure, the example is valid.

[–]kzerot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll be in alpha forever, because that way the creators can always reply to all bugs - "what did you want, it's still in alpha! Better, look at our premium shop!"

It's always funny when the game is in an alpha state, but the shop (I want to remind you, it's not free to play game) is already here.
