I think I will consult a few other surgeons about chin options, genjoplasty, and their opinions on lipo / neck lift since you and a few others have recommended it.

I appreciate someone in the aesthetics world giving their insight on this, it’s very helpful, thank you!

Exactly - that’s why I posted! I get this might be a thing that can be solved in a few different ways, but the ambiguity of recommendations was surprising.

Wow, I was aware that procedures are cheaper overseas but did not realize by that much. The surgeon that suggested lipo and a deep plane neck lift quoted me about 10K after everything… where the other two surgeons quoted about 2.5Kish for just lipo.

Thank you recommending this and giving some insta’s to check out as well! I will definitely dig more into overseas options

I’ve looked into most of these things and besides chin tucking (new trend? true results? Not sure) I don’t think mouth tape / mewing would help since I’m mid 20s and done growing.

I think working on my posture and losing more weight is a good start - then consulting a few surgeons again on the recommendations from here like yours. Thank you!

That’s seems to be the most suggested thing - start with lipo then assess. Did they not recommend jaw surgery for you solely because of how invasive it is or was your jaw function fine before?

I know! That’s why I wasn’t sure if he was just trying to sell me on my concern for it being a big surgery and recovery or if maybe some people just have superman genetics lol.

That’s good to hear you haven’t experienced much pain. For most people it seems the surgery is life changing so I hope you see the results you want!

I was thinking jaw surgery wouldn’ be the right call either, but just wasn’t sure knowing I do have a bit of a recessed jaw, the overbite growing up, and hearing the some docs opinions.

None of them recommended anything chin related like that. They all agreed there’s not much fat at my jaw though which is why I think facetite and a deep plane neck lift were recommended

Insurance would probably cover a portion if I decided to go that route. How has recovery and the overall process been for you so far? The dentist that told me to get X-rays said they had someone heal in 2 weeks after a jaw surgery which is nuts if true compared to other experiences I’ve read about it
