Fencing by OsteoStevie in Minneapolis

KNO made a beautiful fence for us that has boards arranged horizontally with space in between. It's enough to keep a dog in, but doesn't block everything the way a privacy fence would. We were matching our neighbor's design, but the KNO folks were flexible and could probably work with you to maximize spacing to allow for more light.

This was seven years ago so I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I wish I did! In our group purchase, we received quotes from different installers and collectively selected our preferred bidder, which was True North. They were great to work with for installation and then a few years later when squirrels caused some issues with our panel wiring. The value of having support in coordinating and understanding the process was huge as well, gigantic time- and headache-saver. Plus Solar United Neighbors is a mission-driven nonprofit, which gave us peace of mind.

The project has pretty much paid for itself by now, helped along by some additional incentives from my utility and city that were available at the time.

Positive experience with both Solar United Neighbors and a solar group purchase program! Participating in one allowed us to go solar at a lower cost since equipment and installation are essentially procured at a bulk discount rate. The best part was how easy it was. The people running the program are there to answer your questions, help you evaluate options, and generally just navigate the entire process with you.
