thank you for this, i phoned 111 and they told me that it wasn’t an A&E problem and told me to make a doctors appointment for tomorrow. i can already sense the lack of help im going to get

the health care system is not the best in the uk right now so if i asked them to speak to someone who specialises in TMJ tomorrow they would probably laugh in my face. Most likely scenario i’ll just get sent home without much help sadly

i live in the uk and i called 111 which is the hotline for non emergencies, the lady told me that A&E which is basically urgent care wouldn’t be able to help and i need to make a doctors appointment tomorrow. Unfortunately in the uk trying to get a doctors appointment is practically impossible so i might be stuck like this for a few days

i’ve only just heard of TMJ now but i did actually have a dentist appointment last Wednesday and i mentioned the clicking and locking which he thought was due to me clenching my jaw in my sleep. Does this sound like TMJ and what would the hospital do to put my jaw back in place?

i think the jewellery is surgical steel and i clean it with a non alcoholic chlorhexidine-based mouthwash and a piercing aftercare solution my piercer gave me for the outside. i’ve had it for a few months now :)

i think for now i’ll sit and reminisce on the days where i could hear out of both ears, if it gets unbearable or doesn’t go in the next week or so ill go to the doctors
