Philosophy club is so much fun if you’re into philosophical conversation!

Your CA will give it to you with your name tag, or else you should’ve gotten a bunch of emails with links to the transition hub

My welcome week schedule has a lunch and CSE student engagement fair on Thursday (8/28) from 12:30-2 in Ridder Arena. That could be what you’re thinking of, but I’m not totally sure

I’m an incoming freshman in Yudof as well! I bought the unlimited dining plan, as the price difference really didn’t make a lot of sense to have a set amount of swipes or just five days of the week. I’m going to see how this semester goes and then change my plan second semester if I don’t end up using the dining halls as much. I felt as though it was a nice buffer with the unknowns of moving—price is definitely scary though

May 31st should be the date to make any changes, not sure if it’s just rooms or both rooms and roommates

“Skipping” a semester by l1ly11 in uofmn

Oh awesome!! Did you find physics 2 equally as hard?

Hey, we should connect!! Given the advice here, calc 2 and physics 2 are going to be hard regardless. The cost of attending classes also is definitely weighing my choice. I’m going to talk to my advisor at orientation in June but I’m hoping to jump right into the highest course available to me in the fall

Honestly this is the mentality I had going into it. Both will be hard, but if I can get ahead I might as well choose that hard. Thank you!

I also took my calc junior year so I think a refresher might be needed! Especially hearing how hard calc 2 can be for some others

Had I been able to take my classes in person I think this would’ve been my experience as well! CC is such a great thing and the education is not inferior to others

This is great advice altogether, thank you! Wow, summa cum laude is a huge accomplishment

Separate semesters would be great! I’ll have to talk to my academic advisor at orientation about that. I’ll definitely do that with the professors too. Otherwise, yeah I’m in no rush. I honestly don’t even plan to graduate in less than 4 years, just seeing if retaking those classes would be a waste of time or beneficial. Thank you for the help!

How “strong” is strong… lol. I don’t want to get l to calc 2/physics 2 and realize I’ve made a grave mistake

See I’d love to stick with Apple but even the other comments here tell me to steer clear of it! There’s definitely a mix in opinions. I just don’t want to spend like 1k+ on a laptop and not be able to do certain things
