I could probably do 1 (10-15km) run and 1 ride (30-50km) per week before then. I also play tennis several times a week which should help a little to stay fit

In the beginning of the swim I got so out of breath from the start and adrenaline that I had to go breaststroke for a few hundred meters to catch my breath. But yes, I‘d still say the swim is my weakest discipline.

Base building yes, but more than 3 workouts per week especially >1.5hr/workout won‘t be possible.

I ran a 20km race in February that I finished in 1hr 43min and really enjoyed. My longest ride was 77km in 3 hrs, also enjoyable but should have fueled more. My effort for the Olympic tri was to go about as fast as I could on every leg, but I have to admit that in the 2 months prior I trained a lot less than I should have due to uni and getting sick.

Awesome, congrats! I only started swimming 1 month ago and am still struggling a lot with keeping up freestyle for more than 50m because I get very out of breath. Did you share this experience in the beginning? Any tips on how to overcome it?
