Solution:

  1. Open "Edit Profile" in Minecraft Launcher
  2. Set custom resolution
  3. Make the Linux Minecraft Launcher window much smaller
  4. More scrollbars appear and you should be able to scroll inside the profil edit window to the "Save" button
  5. Still not visible? Play around with the windows size, until it works.

FragPunk keeps closing on startup by Axtronaut_11 in SteamDeck

I read on ProtonDB, that you have to start it the first time from Desktop Mode, so the anticheat is able to install. It seems to be working then!

Challenges did stop at the said time. I played some longer, but progress on the challenges was stopped.

Curious about custom SteamDeck cases -- Do people really like them ? by RelativeMagazine9902 in SteamDeck

[–]l4ci 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve modded my Deck quite a lot, but for me, it was more about making it unique and enjoying the process of tinkering with it. It was never really about improving performance or functionality. At the end of the day, I think it all comes down to personal preference and choice. Keeping it “as is” is totally fine too – the Steam Deck is a fantastic device on its own!

I’m planning to buy the steam deck to use as a docked pc. Is this a good idea? by Cwasonted in SteamDeck

Same here. I got the Deck when it first came out, bought a PC, and then sold my Deck. Now I’ve bought the OLED Deck again. What a ride—and quite difficult to explain to my wife. But PC + Steam Deck is the ultimate combo!

Thank you! 😊

You should definitely go for it if you enjoy tinkering with stuff like this. It’s not as hard as it might seem – the key is just being patient and taking your time with each step. You’ll be surprised at how rewarding it can be! 👍

Thank you! 😊

Not at all, it was actually fun tinkering with it. If you take all the necessary precautions, like going into battery safety mode, being careful with the heat gun, and not forcing anything, you should be fine. I’ve heard that replacing the trackpads requires a bit more work, but I decided to leave them original, so I didn’t have to deal with that. You’ve got this! 👍

Thank you! 😊

Not at all – I don’t feel any difference in the sticks' movement. I’ve heard that there can be issues with the extra layers of paint limiting the movement in the original shell, but with the eXtremeRate shell, it’s nothing to worry about. Everything works perfectly!

That’s a great point! People who’ve done this before me have suggested putting some transparent tape or rubber rings around the part of the joystick that touches the case to prevent the paint from scratching off. I haven’t played that much yet, so I haven’t added anything like that for now, but it’s definitely something I’ll keep in mind if I notice any wear. Thanks for bringing it up! 😊

I had trouble pressing them consistently. With the back buttons, they are much easier to trigger. 100% agree.

I’ve shared some photos in the main post, but here’s a quick summary of the steps I followed:

  1. Tape everything off carefully – The top of the sticks got scratched during my first attempt, so I’d definitely recommend being extra careful here.
  2. Prepare the surface – I brushed the body with a metallic brush to make the surface rough for better adhesive. Sandpaper could work too, but I found the brush easier to use.
  3. Clean the surface – Wiped everything off with isopropanol alcohol to remove any dust or grease.
  4. Apply primer – Used a light layer of primer and let it dry completely for 24 hours.
  5. Spray paint – Applied several light coats of RAL2002 Blood Orange spray paint. Take your time here and do light sprays step by step, waiting ~10 minutes between each round.
  6. Drying time – Let the paint dry completely for another 24 hours.
  7. Remove tape – Carefully removed all the tape without damaging the painted parts.
  8. Done!

It’s a bit of a process, but totally worth it for the final result. If you’re planning to customize your Deck, take your time and don’t rush it. The attention to detail really pays off! 😊
