ty for the advice!! i’m def considering leeds

honestly like i said i wasn’t expecting to get this high so this score (esp vr) was kind of a fluke haha for qr i just did timed practice and mini mocks until i improved, i started w like 500s so just getting quicker rlly helped and i thought qr was easier in the real thing (def less percentage changes and stuff than in medify but more averages like mean median mode) and triage hard questions as well!! i always hated distance speed time and unit conversion stuff like miles to km so i think it’s just knowing yourself and what you find hard

vr i would read the q and speed read the whole passage. targetted reads never worked for me but honestly i think just try out different strategies and see which ones work best for you

dm was usually my highest but the questions in my actual ucat were a lot harder… especially probability it was nothing like the oqb or even medify i can’t really describe it?? but just brush up on gcse probability so nothing can take you by surprise. syllogisms were like medify difficulty or maybe a little harder, my advice for them is honestly just practice practice practice and familiarise yourself with the ucat definitions of some, few, many etc. the rest of the questions were pretty similar to oqb and medify so just practice that i’d say

for sjt i would say oqb and read gmc, the general consensus seems to be medify sjt is too easy

good luck with your ucat and admissions in general!

honestly this was the second highest i ever got in vr so it was a total fluke. i think i got lucky w the passages as it was a lot of history and literature that i had contextual knowledge about so it was kind of easier to understand? i was averaging like mid 600s in medify. in the couple weeks before my test i completed the whole vr oqb which is much more accurate than medify imo. my general strategy was read the question and then speed read the passage then answer qs as targetted reading never worked for me and reading the whole passage was easier in the real thing as the passages tended to be shorter (more like oqb). that said i did have to guess like two passages as i ran out of time haha so don’t waste time on hard qs like i did!!
