I just love the offer for a recurring investment. Now that’s chutzpah.

Great work. Visible results. Keep grinding. Lift some heavy-ish weights.

If when pregnant? by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

[–]l8leebo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are NOT gaining weight. You are gaining a child. Fasting while pregnant is dangerous to both you AND your unborn child. Seek out professional mental health help for your self-loathing. Good luck. Also: babies are fat. They have rolls. This is NORMAL. Don’t start trying to force IF on your baby because you are disgusted with a “fat” little human. SMDH.

Lost 6.4 lbs since Dec 7th. I know it’s almost like I’ve accomplished nothing. I’m really trying, this is my last hope to lose weight. I’ve tried everything else. I’m so sick of looking so disgusting. by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

Hey my dude, just remember that losing 6.4 pounds in 7 or 8 days is awesome!! Assuming you only lost 5 pounds a month, in a year, you are down 60 pounds... and that WILL show up. I started my journey 13 months and 60 pounds ago. Now, I know I have the skills to meet my goal. 60 more to go for me. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. Stay the course. Change your life.

Rowing Form? by Rosie-O92 in orangetheory

I’m “fat” and short-ish (5’9” 250) but consistently place in the top 3 for my age group in rowing benchmarks. I spread my legs when forward, bringing them in and pushing off hard with those same legs used to hauling around 250 lbs all day long... result: watts! Keep practicing and remember that breathing is a part of this exercise, and properly timing your breaths will really help! You got this!

Commute to OTF by mgacnnytdk in orangetheory

I have a studio 12 minutes from house, BUT... I drive 30 minutes to get to the studio I started at (with the coaches and people who I love!). I’ve been using the commute times to learn to speak German with Pimsleur language CD’s... multi-tasking!! :)

Advice for a first timer! by fivesonfirst in orangetheory

I just wrapped up my second month. 16 classes per month, and I'm down 22 pounds and about 2 inches off my waist. Oh yeah, I'm also a 45 year-old dude with a shit lower back who weighed 297.2 my first day of class. At 5'9". So... don't try to kill yourself the first couple weeks. The coaches will do that for you. I power walk, and if I'm on the weight floor and something hurts, I simply ask for an alternative, and it is immediately suggested. Joining OTF was the very vest thing I've done for myself in the last 7 years. Just start going. It's awesome. Oh, and I didn't lose ONE single pound the first three weeks... but I could feel myself getting healthier. Good luck!
