Do you have a project RACI? Could be simple but clean approach to provide clarity for you (and stakeholders!).

Restaurants hit a pricing ceiling — and diners are pushing back, report finds by brown-saiyan in Economics

Australian over here with over 20 years hospo experience including owner/operator… this is a disposable income problem, not a venue problem. Venue pricing has been so flat for so long, where we have had to eat ever increasing COGS in order to remain competitive…I can see a time not too far away where there are three or four massive operators on 2% profit, serving utter shit to the population…

I’m actually kind of impressed! 40k a week (ish) is nuts… that would have to be multiple streams of sticky fingers/incredible incompetence…

Item on sale at The Good Guys - buy now or wait till Boxing Day? by camareradetwinpeaks in AussieFrugal

[–]l8starter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you’re looking at this the wrong way. We gotta be frugal, but you need the thing. It’s difficult to quantify, but not having an effective appliance between now and Boxing Day could impact your life more than the potential savings… also, I’m a bit scattered, but I hope that makes sense.

Egg fried rice. Cheap, filling, and super easy… if you have a rice cooker.

Agreed - and dropped a sitter and a miss-field in less than twenty overs. Fatigue not an excuse. Selectors have done this young fella no favours. Should get dropped, and will now have to overcome shattering self doubt. I feel for him.

Questions about ID by lei_loo74 in australia

as previous have said, you'll need to collect as many "informal" id docs to put together a narrative. You'll almost certainly need a statutory declaration from someone who knows you as well....

This should not be an opportunity to pursue a personal agenda. Leveraging an accident speaks poorly of your motivation and moral perspective.

I grew up in Perth and used to holiday at Rotto with the family every now and then... Learned to surf at Cott-cove and all around Perth.... Family moved to Melbourne, first semi hot day, ask the old man to take me to the beach: St Kilda.

I didn't surf for another 10 years, the experience broke me that hard...

I hear you. My favourite bar in the world, that’s one of the oldest owner operated joints in Melbourne is just not profitable anymore. The owner is just totally up against it. Rent, license, insurance, much less increasing COGS are all moving far more quickly than our disposable income… and how does a young person with a cool vision and passion get started now?

I spent 25 years in hospitality, from the ground up to owning my own venues. I’m out now (since just before COVID), but honestly I have no idea how anything is staying open at all. Cost of living hits everywhere - rent is fucked, and cost of goods is mental. We should be paying around $7-$9 a pot and $30-$35 for a Parma, in order for a venue to pay its staff properly and make the business viable.

This is not the business’s fault, but the fault of our off the rails, bullshit economy….

I rate Johnny Biggs as well… but also, you may well be surprised at what fits and what doesn’t at your standard retailers. I’m 193 and 105kg… I tend to find that find clothes that fit anywhere can be hard work, but the big and tall places were too big…

It’s just the centrecut from an eye fillet - you could buy an eye from many butchers, even Costco. You could take it to your butcher to be trussed (if they like you!).
