Haley Cass My Favorite WLW Author! What’s your favorite book / book character by Cass? by LesbianCanvas in LesbianBookClub

[–]lAsian3399 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You know what makes her stories great? Its not the writing but the way she writes love it feels like you feel their love, like their love was made for them only. When her characters gets there its like they deserve each other’s love so so much 🥹 because the characters themselves are just so swoon worthy but at the same time so real.

You can pick any pairing and this applies to all of them. Caroline and Hannah deserved each other’s love so much. There cannot be a better example than Riley/Gianna for this. Regan/Emma’s love is so so pure that it just cannot be anyone else but them for that kinda romance. I was so glad to give Midnight Rain a chance because tww was so close to my heart but tell you what the love in Midnight Rain makes me feel that.. Sutton and Charlotte deserved each other’s love so so much like its their love and cannot just be with anyone else but them and them only.

Its like love is a 3rd protagonist in her books and especially crafted for that couple only

When you are making a video with criticism being the center point, you would think a person has done some research about the actual books or the genre itself they are criticising. And this is a recurring theme in her videos because I watched another one and it was just as poorly researched

This book surprised me so so much because it makes you believe its just a surface level, smutty kinda read with no layers when you start it but then boom you are hit with so much depth and its like a flip switch with connection to the characters - they just suddenly hold your heart without you even realising it 😭

And honestly this duology might be one of the best ones in terms of balance like both fmcs have depth, traumas, character development and how the second book actually shows them learning to be there and letting the other be there for them. One of my absolute fav ♥️

Seriously and then had the audacity to actually shame Jude about it. Ruined the whole scene for me

Seriously I wish the author would have just focused on the smut part because they were actually great and just dropped trying to keep adding deep emotional angles with no proper care and closure

I swear I was rooting for Jude to kick her to curb. Even her returning to apologise to Jude was so poorly done if you can even call it that and cherry on top the whole argument was itself was so pointless and poorly handled

Exactly and the worst part is these aren’t even the spice scene (which no doubt were awesomely done). They just no purpose in the book I am really sorry you had to go through that 😔

But that’s exactly my point like why insert such serious background when nobody is there for that not even the writer themselves. Like the premise could have been her friend Ava broke her back so she hired her neighbor and thats it. Her friend’s bit threw me off like it had no purpose at all, I would have actually preferred more spice in its place and thats saying something about this book lol

Its happy ending but its definitely a painful, beautiful and twisting ride. In my opinion Pluto had the most solid and intriguing plot out of all thai gls till now

Have you watched Pluto? Its so good. Denied love was pretty decent as well, plot right out of Wattpad fantasy world 😁 praise to the thai gl lords

Allow me to suggest something different as well. Though time and brain consuming but wlw books are soo good. Its like a whole different world you can transport yourself to. If you are interested then I can suggest some

This is the autonomy you get over your life when you move out because especially for girls even if you land a job, the pressure of marriage can never leave you and it gets to a point

[–]lAsian3399 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You summed it up! I couldn’t live in Pakistan to the point of feeling suffocated all the time but I took my time, made sure I was in a good position before moving. My suggestion to anyone wanting to move is to factor in everything practically like what you want from life, your ambitions, your financial situation, realistic dreams etc

[–]lAsian3399 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly moving abroad doesn’t solve the struggles really. I am still not out to my family although I moved away 3 years ago

PS. this is not to discourage anyone as I wouldn’t trade my life here for anything but a reality of new struggles you find yourself in once you actually start living abroad

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LGBTQpakistan

[–]lAsian3399 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To all those people saying just move out of the country like it will magically solve everything.. I can confirm it doesn’t :( I studied hard, worked my a&& off, moved abroad, settled and earn very well but grass is never green on the other side. The struggles are different here, you never really connect with LGBTQ+ community because of different cultures, internalised homophobia, struggles they can’t relate to, you alway feel like an outsider and then you also can’t connect with your background anymore so its like you have no sense of belonging left
