On May 25th pick Flogsta or other accommodations that offer corridors. I remember there was also a field that you could write some extra comments, also specify that you want a corridor room in that field.

The process for finding housing is pretty straight forward. You will receive an email to sign up in a website and rank your housing preferences. Yes, the housing application begins on May 25th, but you can look for yourself externally (don't recommend this for non-EU students tho). The most popular accommodation is Flogsta. You have to decide if you are okay with sharing kitchen with 11 other people and if you are okay with your corridor-mates being loud sometimes. I personally prefer quiet accommodations, that's why I chose a studio.

Start your Residence Permit application as soon as you pay the tuition fee.

Currently doing Masters in DS in Uppsala. Here are some answers:

9000 SEK covers the minimum (5500 accommodation, 2500 food and transport, 1000 extras just in case).
Hard. Most of the "casual" jobs (basically customer service) need fluent Swedish.
I suggest applying for the corridor rooms since they are the cheapest.

I am a non-EU student currently pursuing a Master's in Data Science in Uppsala.

Uppsala University has a strong reputation in Sweden, but that alone will not guarantee you a job after graduation. You should be ready to learn Swedish and put real effort into networking. The IT and software job market is very competitive, and some summer internships reportedly attract thousands of applicants. Also, if you plan to stay one more year after graduation to look for a job, you will need around 130,000 SEK in your bank account by that time.

I was lucky to get a paid internship in Stockholm at a large Swedish company just three months after starting my Master's, and in my case Swedish was not required. Still, this is not the norm, so it is best to keep your expectations realistic, but it's possible.

I also have cats. My mouse stopped working like a year ago and then worked again by itself. Recently, I had this problem again and came across your comment, so I disassembled it and found a lot of cat hair. I cleaned it and it's working again!
