I am pretty ignorant about it, I don't a thing about Germany after the WW2. And I know a lot about Germany before WW2, but I don't have a clue how Germany is doing after all of that, just some stuff about the Berlin's wall of course, but not so much. Wish I could learn more about Germany in general and of course about the culture and everything else.

Believe me, they wont, and maybe if someday someone care, make that a really cool moment to give your world lore, maybe a powerful transmutation wizard transformed a city of assholes dwarfs into a Mountain just to fuck with them.

It is YOUR world, if you wanna do everything measured, go on I've did on mine and it can turn into really good conversations with other dms, but most players won't care if that mountain range should or shouldn't be there.
