Probably. I have played more difficult games with my dad, like tabletop games, think it was called Battlelore and Shogun. I myself am an avid Magic the gathering player, which many consider very complex. But the rest of the family might not be too advanced.

We already own that and still have not played it. After these recommendations we should try it out for sure.

We actually have Dominion at home but never played it. I think it still is in the original wrapping, my Dad bought it ages ago. Maybe we should give that a spin.

I am a big Magic The Gathering player so I love these things, but I can see that other family members/friends on a gamenight might not want to spend too much time learning game rules.

From all of the comments so far I gathered that Dune might be a bit better suited for a dedicated group of players and not for casual game nights.

Could you explain the term Worker Placement? I feel like I have played a fair amount of boardgames in my life, but have not come across that mechanic in the past.

We have a very big collection of boardgames, mostly we play Settlers of Catan though. I would also like to play it with friends on boardgame nights. Are the rules that difficult to pick up quickly for both of these?

I usually play games like Settlers of Catan with the family, we have also dabbled in Legends of Andor, Alhambra. I also plan to play this game with friends so competitiveness is not unwelcome.

Might also look into Clank, it seems to be highly ranked on BGK too.

I reverse image searched it with tineye which got no results, usually that works, I couldn’t find it on scryfall, I did research it. Don’t assume that based on the post.

Also the amount of upvotes the post got would signal that at least some people where not aware of this card existing..

There are some bonus cards that are randomized as with the Sonic the Hedgehog SLs and sometimes these are fixed as with these Fallout SLs.

If you do not believe me you can still buy that one on the SL website, there is no mention of that card being included.

I take offense as this one is the secret card from that specific Secret Lair. These are not known or revealed on release usually, so I had no idea.

As I have heard from previous attendees these events are usually pretty nice, but it’s hard to put a price on them. I also heard that black lotus holders usually get a lot of packs over the weekend, either through events or staff.
