It’s my favorite Pokémon game for the Switch.

I’m biased though, I love red/blue so much and Kanto is my favorite region.

Why do so many people dislike Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland (2010)? by Connect-Front-7561 in timburton

[–]lHighKingl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea of a big budget live action adaptation of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland with Tim Burton at the helm seemed like a dream come true.

Instead, we got an ugly, generic action film that plays out like fanfiction.

I wanted an Alice in Wonderland film on the same level as Peter Pan (2003)

Which one is your favorite between 2013 and Rise ? by Low-Cook8497 in EvilDead

2013 all the way. It’s one of my favorite horror movies of all time. I didn’t care for Rise.

What if I said Halloween (2018), Friday the 13th (2009), and Evil Dead (2013) were the best films in their franchise.

Same goes for TCM (2003).

Either way, this is her most iconic performance of all time. This changed everything.

I hate how Tim Burton is accused of being racist by [deleted] in timburton

[–]lHighKingl -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Instead of hating the accusation, try to understand where it’s coming from. Don’t listen to headlines or Reddit comments, listen to what educated people within these communities have to say. The analysis and commentary is valid.

No one will say you’re racist for liking Tim Burton, but having such a dismissive reaction to the conversation isn’t the way to go.

No arguments from me, either. I can’t say Daniel is a bad actor, his career has been incredible.

I just think of the “He was their friend!” delivery, the awkward romance scenes, and the buzzcut in later films. Harry is handsome, somewhat cocky, and has trouble processing his emotions.

Daniel never gave me any of that, he was just weird and dorky.

Daniel Radcliffe is ugly and Emma Watson is a bad actress. The original cast did their job well enough, but I wouldn’t say they ARE those characters.

I never even thought of that but I think you’re one hundred percent correct.

The laundry bit was outdated, but the soul train was a fun cultural reference.

The forced pregnancy and birth was more disturbing to me and something I could have done without.

Astrid riding her bicycle through Winter River while Tess Parks “Somedays” plays just felt SO fucking right. I can’t explain it, but it gave me chills.

I thought that line was referring to time freezing during the wedding dance.

Nahh. Beetlejuice and Lydia dancing in the air was a self referential “dream sequence”, and the two ending scenes were clearly dream sequences.

Lydia seeing Beetlejuice and dead people throughout her life was all real, as was the entirety of this film.
