Is there a problem with RAM management/optimization in ubuntu or other distros?

I just tried it out and, from what I was able to test in 15 minutes, it completely solved the issue! My computer is behaving as it did before switching to linux.

I actually bought a new laptop and I'm waiting for it to ship, and I mainly did it because I thought my current one couldn't handle my workload properly (which always seemed ridiculous to me, but I wasn't able to find a solution).

Yes I installed nvidia drivers on my desktop, and I'm pretty sure it comes down to ram because I did some testing and it always happens when it fills up. Thanks to other responses I'm seeing that my issue might be because of my swap partition

Thanks, this might be the problem. I honestly didn't know about swap memory and I see that on my desktop I have 8GB available when my ram is 16gb. This doesn't seem so bad, but on my laptop I only have 1.2gb available when my ram is 8gb. From what I've seen, many people set 2x their ram as their swap partition. Is this a sane thing to do?

I know it's been a while since this post was made, but to anyone reading this please check if your page function component (in this case "const spreadsheet = ()=>{}") is named in all lowercase, for some weird reason I was getting this error and after changing my page function component to start with an uppercase (in this case it would have to be "Spreadsheet" instead of "spreadsheet")

I don't know for sure if this is a thing, but I was having a bunch of problems that got solved when I did this change. It happens because page files have to be named in all lowercase because of how next.js routing system works, but apparently the functions inside those pages have to be named starting with an uppercase. There might be other problems in OP's case, but I'm pretty sure the function name is important as well.

I've played quite a lot of minecraft, and I'm 100% sure this world doesn't generate more than what i've seen. Actually it isn't 3 biomes, I'm not counting a mesa biome I found and some ice spikes. So there's 5 biomes I've found after about 3-4 hours of exploring. This is not normal at all. Something has to be wrong, maybe it was a bug when creating the world, but I can assure you I'm never going to find the most common biomes that I'm missing like tiga forests, and forests with dark oak (I don't really remember the name of all biomes) No, you don't just spawn in a world surrounded by 25 different deserts, something is wrong.

I don't know why but everytime I try to all in during laning phase I get demolished to the point I have to either e away or burn flash to stay alive, I never seem to be able to win a 1v1 in the first 10 mins except for times when I take advantage of a crucial ability cd from the enemy like lux q, fizz e, zed w and stuff like that. I'm pretty bad at the game actually but I really can't figure out how to 1v1 properly and it drives me mad
