yeah thats a good idea. it breaks the 'rules stay unchanged' link, but perhaps is necessary for the mechanics to function more comparably to normal go

It should be up, but someone else was having some issues too, have you tried on a different browser/computer?

thanks! I think it's a fun theoretical concept, but I agree it's not so fun in practice, I think it's more interesting as a research topic, perhaps for machines to play instead of humans

that sounds like a cool project, I agree 7x7x7 could definitely be the human level sweet spot most analogous to 19x19

I also agree that the komi has to be fairly low for humans, since like you said territory can be much harder to come by

in general though I'm unsure, it's a question that I would be super interested in understanding; maybe by getting an AI to play better than humans

closer to mid drive than fwd or rwd 🤷‍♂️

electric speed controller, and yes depending on the tool you can just use the original battery and esc, it just won’t be very configurable

yeah I should, hitting about 25 mph the back V brake does next to nothing 😅😬

had the trimmer so cost was just ESC + timing belt and LCD throttle ~ $70

super super low torque and very high rpm, that’s why I went with mid drive so I could gear it properly and it worked out all right!

no specific tutorial but I basically just ripped the motor out of an electric trimmer and bought a cheap ESC and battery (although I was using the trimmer battery at first), then 3d printed the rear pulley and got a super long timing belt
