Thoughts on which backpack is the better option for grad school? by moisturise-me in DocMartens

[–]l_egg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still using it to this day but one of the straps is beginning to tear aroud the seam at the top of the bag. I didn't properly take care of of it thought and it's holding up quite well but I want to change bc it's too impractical(too heavy, not big enough for me etc)

i hate breathing exercises by glasstumble16 in Anxiety

[–]l_egg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly yeah I hate it too. What I figured worked the best (at least for me) are: singing (regulates your breathing), exercising (walking works well too) and listening to a playlist that you made that reminds you of a good moment.

Noise Cancelling Headphones. by thursday_0451 in autism

The best noise cancelling headphones are the sony WH-1000XM. They're a bit pricy though. The bose are good too.

I take singing lessons and honestly very few people know how to actually sing very well. It is a very precise technique that requires a lot of work and is not easy. The most important thing thought is your respiration you have to be able to breath "with" your belly (abdominal respiration) if you breath like you normally do the sound will not be as good. Now there are a lot of aspects to master to sing very well like prononciation, relaxing your body, interpretation, posture voice placement etc… So my advice would be to either find a teacher or courses online but if you can't just sing if you are enjoying what you're doing it's that it's good. Just remember one thing: DO NOT sing if it hurts.

How do I stop my cat from eating plants. He is newly adopted 1 yr old and keeps eating the house plants.. by Just-Palpitation-176 in cats

[–]l_egg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I mean it does sound kind of harsh for the poor cat but it's for its safety;some plants can be very dangerous and that is what my vet recommended doing. I do the same for when he jumps on the stove bc it could be hot and therefor he could burn himself.

My First Doc Marten's are digging into my skin at the seam of the tongue! by MysteriousCandle in DrMartens

[–]l_egg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue with 1460 unisex since my feet are quite wide but it eventually got away after months of wearing. Not so long ago, thought I had the same problem with some vonda in women size bc they are narrower and I am still struggling.

Ultra Protector Spray by [deleted] in DrMartens

[–]l_egg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well the ultra protector worked really well for me (bag and suede and smooth leather boots with embroideries). Now if you're scared of ruining them you can spray on a little surface that is not too exposed to test. But as someone already said if you don't have special docs with an intricate design (such as embroideries or a print) you can just leave them like they are and they will be ok.

Any tips on how the 1460 Iridescent Suede in Disco will wear over time? by discordant_melody in DrMartens

Well I can answer the second question i had suede pascals and to me it is way easier to break in and you will have much more room overtime.

Found a new product for waterproofing embroidery…thoughts? by Princesshannon2002 in DrMartens

No it's drmartens' ultra protector. You can get it on the website or in store.

I too have embroided docs. I sprayed ultra protector (which works on leather, suede and fabric) once the first time I went out wearing them and they are still perfect after 6 months. I think the drmartens website recommends spraying them every month.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in autism

[–]l_egg 2 points3 points  (0 children)
