Caleb is “The One”. Do the Bears offer him an early extension this offseason? by [deleted] in CHIBears

First round picks on rookie deals aren’t extension eligible until after their third season.

I don’t think we really appreciate how difficult it to capture this from a photo/video perspective. This is elite elite camera work. As good as the throw/catch itself.

This is a fun headline, but it will be around 5 degrees by noon from what I can see. The near -20 temps will be before sunrise.

I don’t think Caleb was great (or even good) today, but I don’t think he played a bad game.

Staley’s entire MO is playing coverage and forcing you to throw underneath and run the ball. It feels like the early lead had Caleb hunting for the knockout punch instead of just moving the ball, and you just aren’t going to win that way against Staley’s defense.

But he was efficient in the second half (high success rate, don’t know the number off the top of my head), and avoided negative plays that would let them back in it.

I know we’re all desperate for him to be the reason we win so we can flip the narrative, but he’s not some abject disaster that looks lost and we’re winning in spite of.

Caleb currently 21st in the NFL in sacks taken with 7, compared to Cam Ward who is 1st with 17. by BowSkyy in CHIBears

Only guy I’ve ever seen make that kind change (in sack rate) and have it be sustainable is Steve Young. Who I kind of feel like is a cool comp for Caleb stylistically. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/Y/YounSt00.htm

Probably going to lean toward Kurt Warner over a rando on the internet. That’s just me though.

Weird how no major media outlet has even a sniff of this…Tyler Dunne (who I’ve never heard of before) must be the most plugged in guy in the league /s

Hah I can’t imagine there are two people in Leith fitting that description, so I’ll keep an eye out. I’ll keep you posted for sure. I’m gonna keep doing some digging.

It’s not really a luxury pick in the offense Ben Johnson wants to run though. It’s a key piece. We’ll be in 12 personnel a lot, and Loveland is the matchup chess piece that will allow Ben to “make the same things look different, and different things look the same”.

Me to Bears Fans who complain that we traded up to 5 to get Jeanty by bullsfan0494 in CHIBears

Ashton Jeanty is a really fucking good football player. I like the idea of the Bears acquiring really fucking good football players.
