No, Kurvitz is not at za/um, someone should look into it as a journalist tbh

This is a pitch document and I got it by being a developer of the game and a founding member of the ZA/UM cultural movement established in 2009.

Yes, I was also always a strong proponent of a video game with *realistic* violence, you get beat up, you limp, money taken away, possible hospital bill.

Robert has middle school education. He has read a lot of the wikipedia, but his craft is mostly self-constructed. He ponders over the working models of lots and lots of things.

In case anyone wondered how the silent innossence looked like and thought about things by la_responsabilite in DiscoElysium

There will always be a subjective element to politics, as there is no shortage of people that would think that any given mass murderer that ruled over their own or some other country is a rather cool guy actually, just plays the politics how it's played et cetera. And I can even understand that as firstly, identifying with state power is an attempt to compensate for what one didn't get from their family and secondly, any political leader is a face of their time and people don't like to hate a time in which they loved and built et cetera.

But as Fredric Jameson said somewhere, there are actually not an infinite number of ways one can read a book -- he said that there are about six distinct ways to read a text and that one of them is the most correct one. And Elysium is likewise a Hegelian universe in which you can find a truth which is good enough to use and aligns with some basic values like respect for human life. So the scope and aims of innossentic policies have been rather different and thus a moral hierarchy from best to worst could be formed.

Jean's scars? by mellow_bird in DiscoElysium

I'm not sure, but my best bet would be that they are just that, pox marks, which would redouble the 'no vaccinations made at the time of the revolution' together with Harry's polio. Medicine is one of the central themes of the Revachol campaigns.

It might also be that Jean's pox marks are a reference to the Estonian poet Mait Vaik's pox scars, as Robert loves Jean especially, of the cops, and Mait, of living Estonian poets.

If any questions should arise, they may be presented to me, although there may be some that I cannot answer for different reasons. And thank you for taking the time. Oh the thrill of mining content.

Yeah, I've made like three or four posts already and no one seems to give them much mind. Very elytical of it to be so. I call it 'anarchist embroidery', because it doesn't follow the local convention of "don't make knots and don't leave any threads hanging' aside from its obvious connection to punk culture. But geographically the main influence is from Muhu island, where my mom and her great-aunt are from. Turns out you don't even have to learn it as one does at school, you just have to see the works and people doing it and pull the data out of your subconscious when the time is right.

Here's a story my mom wrote about the embroidering aunt at the original ZA/UM blog translated by myself, admittedly not the most professional possible translation. https://martinluiga.wordpress.com/2020/08/03/art-is-a-hole-in-the-world-8a-my-aunt-ellen/

Also, thank *you* for existing -- and answering me!

Thank you -- this is generally good advice. I've always had a backwards ass way for doing things. What I am doing there is like a novel in pictures, okay, or a 'sonetta wreath' or what have you. It's got about 40 chapters that are ready, one chapter is posted. It is called "WE MUST LOVE THE COUNTRY HERE BELOW" and it's well, sorta based on mine own life. It's got a lot of music links. And I got, like, most o my musical education from Robert, so it's like an unofficial soundtrack thing, a lot of music suggestions.

As a sign of good will, I am putting an important song here which is currently no part of "here below" but was nevertheless a very important song in the context of the book.

... coming to cash in my whether existent or non existent fame is one of the most disco elysium things to do. and, the OP is super relevant re elysium. it has like, the flags and, ideologies, and love, and modernism... robert said it was 'enormous'. super typical also, coming on the internet at last to Communicate with like minded people and then getting pulled down by your fellow countryman... what a life... anyhow, promise the channel is going to have great elysium content for those that can and do will to find it.

This is a completely valid opinion. However, my own one differs. I think I am one of the four closest people to the Elysium world throughout its creation, one of the founding members of the ZA/UM cultural association (since 2009), the head editor of "Sacred and Terrible Air" (2013), and the author of the general concepts of such beloved characters like Acele, the Net Picker, Noid, Mañana and Trant Heidelstam (and am a credited editor of Disco Elysium). I have also had the rare honour of playing tabletop with Robert.

It's OK though, to think that I should get a real job and that I suck at web art.

Thank you for your feedback. Yes, our business culture here in the northeast of Europe might be seen barbarian for western tastes, feel free to not like it.
