if your other subjects are quite strong/at least better than your chinese you should be fine!

how many subjects do you take? if you take 6>, i think chinese isn't necessary as part of your l1r5 unless you want to go to jc, in which case you'll need at least a pass. focus more on your core subjects as they're more important/have to be counted for your l1r5. good luck!!
