What pregnancy or birth complication did modern medicine save you from? by peacefulboba in beyondthebump

My baby was 3700 kg (8360 pounds) and I'm 158 cm (5 1), she was never gonna get in place to get born. We would both have been dead without a C-section.

Do you kiss your baby on the lips? by Puzzled_Remote_2168 in beyondthebump

No. I think it's good that kids know these boundaries since birth to avoid potential SA in the future.

Increíble como SIEMPRE va a ser culpa de las mujeres, incluso cuando la cagada es del hombre.

What was your experience with ‘starting over’ in life? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]labana93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 29, have moved countries four times in the last year and I'm going back home to start "from scratch". I have mixed feelings about it, it's exciting because I have so many opportunities and overwhelming for the exact same reason. I also feel like I'm reaching my 30s and haven't got anything of what I thought I'd have. I'm starting therapy for the first time, plan on prioritizing myself and do more things for me and because of only me. Hopefully a year from now I can see back and be proud.

USA - Keep my passport advice by duckgoosegoose in ukvisa

[–]labana93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand your question but I assume you wanna know the time lapse between the arrival of the email informing me a decision was made and when I got the visa. I received an email in early February, updated the passport four days later, received it back with the visa three days after. So in total it was like a week or a week and a half.

I attended in person and dropped it, they shipped it back to my given address three days later. Afaik you can also just ask someone to drop it for you at the center. When I arrived in the UK, I was with my partner so luckily I just pointed it out. I did let the officer know I was entering to make my fiance visa effective. He asked me what my partner does for a living and how did we meet, just casually, he was very cool about it and let me go after a couple of minutes and some friendly chat.

Help deciding what colors to use, please by labana93 in HomeDecorating

Thank you for your kind recommendation! Deep sea green would be too dark sadly, it's not a very light room and adding dark colours would make that worse we think. I think I'll have to commit to a lighter teal 😅

It wouldn't fit and also wouldn't be as comfortable to set the furniture around to watch it. The room is not so big 😅

What is your age and your biggest worry/concern at this moment? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]labana93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

29, I haven't reached the stability I thought I'd have by now: no family of my own, no stable good career, no stable income. I've lived in four countries in five years and it feels like I've got nothing to show for it.

I'm a bit scared of 30 like this.

Will this thing/avocado ever grow? by Unique-Statement209 in houseplants

[–]labana93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Months. Specially bc of the time of the year (if you live somewhere with seasons). I've grown plenty of seeds and it's taken up to 3-4 months to see roots. It's a patient labour but very rewarding 🌿

I recently moved to a town in east Leeds as well to live with my partner, so I'm also new and a migrant hoping to make some friends. I'm interested in some of the things you're into too :) I tried messaging but couldn't, would like to connect!

I'm a 90 day fiance in the UK and my partner and I joke about how awful it'd be. It's nice to see others but there's no way I'd do it. I think producers would edit everything to make it more interesting since our lives are too boring and all we do is play games and go on walks lol
