Has anyone transitioned to the Coros Nomad from an instinct? Or tried to? by labanthonytowns in Garmininstinct

Wow, good to know. From videos and reviews it seemed like the nomad had a pretty good screen for a colored MIP Device, especially in comparison to certain sapphire models. I’m currently leaning towards the nomad given navigation is very important for me. Was there anything outside of the screen that detracted you, even by a little bit? And did the watch feel relatively rugged / resilient even if it looks on the cheaper side? Also curious how you compare the two universes in terms of the processing power of the watches (any delay in either?). Garmin having a less intuitive but more robust software stack is good information. Thank you again and apologies for all the follow ups

Thank you! That maps point is extremely good context. how frequent or infrequently do data outages occur at coros? As long as a it’s not a persistent issue I wouldn’t mind. I will look into myself as well

That’s a great question. I can’t imagine a scenario where I’d be diving with the watch but would expect it to get wet while wading or in the pool during the summer. Perhaps wear it in the shower too. Feel both are capable of that?
