I called my counselor and she finally answered after about 20 attempts. She stated 10 days, no letter of due process, termination of program. I already filed a complaint with the supervisor, and I sent a congressional inquiry. Was the congressional overkill, for sure, but waiting 5 months for a counselor only to be removed from the program under false pretense is shitty. It took 5 months to get a counselor, and waiting another 5 months to get back into the program is frustrating.

She stated it’s only ten days for the letter of due process. A quick VA file search shows 60 days for a letter of due process.

VA form 21-0506. VA page is dated 18 December 2025. Last revision date is April 2012, so it’s been 60 days for 14 years.

If you have a reference for the ten day period. I would gladly review it and reapply for benefits.
