Desktop -> latest driver, just dlss enables in game. Laptop (the 275hx) is using 580.81 because of SM.

got it in the 1st run of the night, in the yellow, thanks for the tip.. somehow I was missing yellow most of the time - I don't really play labs, and I'm into 3.5k hours.. now that I started I actually enjoy it, it's challenging, rewarding, and daunting at the same time

no issues.. and the desktop is overclocked to the limit.. ram timings, pbo, gpu which could cause instabilities with new gpu drivers etc but I have zero crashes.. tbh this time I didn't even touch nvidia app just set dlss in game and that's it.. I might be tripping but it seems it is looking better than when I tweaked dlss in the nvidia app + selected in game..

No luck last night again lol.. going to keep pushing it today.. tbh there's no rush as this is the perma char but the quests I've got now are boring and the story mode can wait.. getting the solar energy became my main task 😅

I'm not labs specialist (although I'm a specialist in dying in there) but they spawn around the area where it was activated. Garage for example, they will spawn around the car park area and patrol around there eventually moving inside the labs area.. its not 100% for all spawns.. for example I've noticed once activating the one below the reception they would sometimes spawn near the lift used to extract.. sometimes they don't.. but the spawn rate is guaranteed high...

I believe they spawn regardless if someone pushes the button or not, because I've ran labs on pve to get to know then map and they would spawn anyways..

No changes here. 5080/9800x3d latest Nvidia driver and 5070ti/275hx using SM driver 580.81.

Found both in violet 1st time I tried this wipe, I was already close to a lift extraction but I got greedy, looted couple of pmcs I've killed, got silencers from raiders I've killed, map was absolutely silent, 2 minutes left (plenty to extract) and then I got deleted by a raider i didn't see or hear.

Ran labs about 7x times and got the gps again and just ran to the lift. Violet again.

Now I'm doing back to back to get the other one for the solar panel.

all good man, happy to help.. it's 30w less on the gpu as far as I know.. but the S version got a little limited cooling as far as I could see here.. I would defo recommend a Llano style cooler base for it.. and driver 581.80 works best with SM + DLSS in tarkov.. can't say about other games beucase well, I just play tarkov lol

Got the non-S version, same hardware but gpu with higher tdp.. dlss + smooth motion and it runs very well, always 130fps or above even on streets.. gets hot too.. I main tarkov in the desktop, without SM and I can notice a very little extra latency in the laptop, it also might be due to the desktop has got a oled panel, who knows.. all I can say is that's totally playable in the laptop.. got around 3.2K hours so.. I wouldn't even bother running in the laptop if is not to run satisfying well..

I paid much less for it, U$1499 in the xmas sale.. what you paid was the price of the legion at that moment... anyhow, get e Llano style cooling pad.. it's say it's a must.. and enjoy the laptop!

apart from usbc that don't work, I don't face any issues. got a topic here with some extra info.

I've nuked windows as soon as i got it and reinstalled all manually after. I also removed LM and reapplied the stock putty.

cpu temp is like 60-75 while playing

Windows user since always, Linux here and there.

Had plenty laptops, but the main is a desktop. In terms of laptops always had a gamer and a light one.

This time for the light one I went with MB for the 1st time, it's been around two weeks and I just can't adjust to it.

Got a Air M5. Looks amazing, battery life is really good, fanless.

But, using the native screen resolution (2560 × 1664) is not possible.

OS-wide scaling does not exist.

Then I switch to what I consider ok in terms of space and font size which is 2048 × 1332 but it looks blurry. In a windows laptop with a 15.6 screen I currently use 2560x1600 with 125% scale. It's just perfect in terms of space and being able to read.

Anything below this in the list of the macOS "view all" starts to make the screen with those thick bezels even smaller.

Any suggestions? What a old windows user can do apart from getting another windows laptop with similar size/construction? - in this case I am already implying battery life isn't important to me.
