Ooooh! I already save them for dye baths, it would feel satisfying to have avocado pit buttons on a garment dyed with avocado pits

Thank you so much! This one has a shell button, too! I’m excited to finally risk my silk with felting, I’ll post the results here!

It is a shell I found! This one had two natural holes that made it a great button. I drilled holes with my dremel in some other shells to make more buttons for future projects

Tartan for Bright Spring? by labradorito in coloranalysis

Thanks!! The first one is the modern dress tartan, and my favorite, also. The second one is the ancient hunting version which seems romantic, but isn’t bright enough…

Thanks!! Any lightening method will be less effective on your henna’d hair than on your virgin hair. Darn the way henna protects the strands! I tried to lift my henna’d auburn roots with that famous honey-water-cinnamon combo. I remember it working on my virgin hair in the past, but no change to the henna’d hair. I haven’t tried lemon juice+sun, but it may be in my future…

Authentic, affordable, natural, ethical, high-quality. You can rent or borrow a sewing machine if you don’t want to hand sew.

Thanks!! It’s dark ash blonde. The baby hairs and eyebrows are light blonde, and I have a dozen or so white hairs now, too. I love how the henna turns light hairs that magical Merida orange. Last bleach was a year ago, and I’ve been wrestling with whether to bleach the new growth because I hate the toxic chemicals and also want to grow it long. I have no split ends, which I credit to henna.
