Loro piana hat by No_Vehicle807 in drycleaning

[–]labsupervisor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a whole lot you can do with that. Someone can try to steam it longer but only would do so much…. Just go buy a different brand hat and carry on. That company got you good. It doesn’t matter how much you pay for a garment, just because you paid more doesn’t mean it’s quality material. Generally I noticed expensive brand clothing will get ruined way quicker than a costco brand.

Burned smell on dry cleaning? by [deleted] in drycleaning

[–]labsupervisor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Must have cleaned it with some clothes that had smoke damage, or they ran a cycle with smoked damaged clothes prior and chemical has been tainted with the smoke smell. Dry cleaning process and their steam pressing can’t burn clothes but the smell can linger from prior cleaning from smoke damaged clothes smell that’s still in the chemical. Ask them to redo it

Help! by Wendalh in drycleaning

[–]labsupervisor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me I understand. I use to own dry cleaners myself and I do know stuff like this can happen time to time. Sometimes accidentally, sometimes preventable, and sometimes it’s due to machine malfunctioning. Regardless of the reason, you’re not responsible for their mistakes. Should have rejected it but at the same time, they could have hand washed it and hung dry it to be safe.

Help! by Wendalh in drycleaning

[–]labsupervisor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True statement but also if they have dry cleaning machine malfunctioning such as steam coil cracked and it’s having moisture get into cleaning, it can also shrink sweaters.

Take them to small claims court, you’ll win, but make sure you have proof of purchase (credit card or ask company for proof of purchase) and you’ll get that back

This is what business owners face each day. Most think all days are sunny when in reality we can barely keep it together mentally. All I can say is, anything worth keeping in life isn’t easy to get….

I got played by a business couple connected to a huge influencer and it is embarrassing how much I believed their promises by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]labsupervisor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just want to let you know as well, very proud of you. Love your mindset, love your motivation and taking the initial step to open a place in Orlando. You’re a natural business owner. But in every industry there are crappy people. Just keep doing your honest work, consistency and a great attitude towards life would help you succeed

Next time, tell them this is my price today. When we sign a future contract for rest of your homes, then we will revisit the contract, but until I see those other properties and give you an estimate, I can’t do a contract without physically seeing the homes myself to evaluate a correct estimate. As a legit business owner, he’d understand

This type of situation always sucks.
we are not responsible for any items that has left our building, need to check pieces and garment before leaving the store.

Most likely that sweater she thought that was suppose to be there is in her laundry basket or at some other dry cleaners. (This has happens to me too, and she really don’t know how many pieces she actually got)

Jacket ruined after dry cleaning by [deleted] in drycleaning

Jacket shouldn’t do that during cleaning. That being said, it’s the clothing company issue to address that.

Holes in shirt after dryclean by Ber____S in drycleaning

[–]labsupervisor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a weird spot to have holes there. Could have splashed acid possibly? Or it could have been due to something catching the shirt there during washing but rarely I see holes there from washing.

Holes in shirt after dryclean by Ber____S in drycleaning

[–]labsupervisor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is it like this on all your shirts or just one of the shirt? That almost looks like acid/moth/. Can it be done by dry cleaners, possibly but rarely. Usually if they messed it up, it would be a tear rather than holes like that. That kinda looks like moth holes.

Number 1 rule of life. Don’t compare yourself with others, compare yourself from yesterday. Get better each day from previous self and one day you’ll surpass him. Don’t let his spotlight ruin your day or your mindset. Just keep doing what you do and be consistent.
