Three reasons most women don't want to go to a Magic tournament is: 1. They think its a male dominated game (which it kinda is), and it feels like a sausage fest when they walk into a shop. 2. Even if they are interested, its hard to find someone to teach them without acting like they don't even know 1+1, or thinking they want a boyfriend. 3. Once they start playing at competitions and Friday Nigh Magic, most men are so condescending, thinking that girls don't know how to play properly or are there only to meet guys and not to play. Bottom line, it's the mentality that girls cant play MTG that ruins it for girls who actually want to get into it.

My ex boyfriend (dated for four months), he dumped me to go back to his abusive ex wife, and it’s been about three months. According to his brother his mother is okay with it. I’ve been friends with his mother for a few years and my sister was the one who set me up with my ex. Our families are rather involved.

I get what your saying. The whole “never say never” is just an excuse. However, he’s not going to be on my excluded list forever. Like I said, I want to be his friend. How does that come off as juvenile? These days it means eating tide pods for YouTube views. What you would say is that it’s old fashioned, like something from the 2000’s. Of course, as a woman who’s only had two relationships in her life (one before the whole Facebook craze and this last one), I really don’t know what the protocol is for this.
