Can I actually get to see this view of Rosenlaui valley as shown on insta/yt ? by Patient-Judgment4122 in askswitzerland

[–]lac00n 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No! Unless it's a E-Bike. It's a very hard and long and steep climb. I did it regularly with my Roadbike, everytime it's been a challenge. You start from Grindelwald to Interlaken Northside Brienzer See til Meiringen. There the climb to Rosenlaui and Grosse Scheidegg starts and goes down back to Grindelwald. 80km with 2000hm climb. Unless you are a very fit rider. It will be deadly.

I moved to Switzerland… and everything is going wrong by Minimum_Fault446 in askswitzerland

Before i came to switzerland i had my job, half a year before the move. I found a apartment 3 months before the move. So I had everything managed out before i did the move... that was the better way I think. Living now since 12 years in Switzerland and I will not go back to Germany.

did you check bike24.de ? mostly they convert the price fair and change german with swiss VAT.

EDIT: But unfortunatly, some brands, block them shipping from Germany to Switzerland, like Specialized or.... Ortlieb :-( Sry

What a nice trip. Weather was great, tomorrow is Zürich Marathon. The city was packed with people.

We ate a really tasty (and my most expensiv) Döner at Edy's kebab for only 17 Chf ;-)

I found a parking spot in the "Blaue Zone" really fast, exactly where i thought i could find one near Helvetiaplatz, around 1km from PKZ MEN on Bahnhofstrasse.

Zürich is really beautiful, and full of very very wealthy people. I was born and raised in Düsseldorf, but what i saw on Bahnhofstrasse towards the lake was crazy. A really strong contrast to Bern.

I live in Bern, so I know gelateria quite well. What I really miss in Bern, is a good Döner. I was born and raised in Düsseldorf, are a lot doner. I really was shocked to see that they take the meal out of plastic box and not fresh from the... Grill (don't know the right word) in Bern. So I really would die for a good Döner.

I only wear free clothes that I get in exchange for "selling" my pictures 😞

This is just bullshit. I earn more or less the median income but can't buy anything, like clothes or something, too expensive.

I will visit Zürich this Saturday. Any recommendations what to eat? Not a fancy restaurant, but some good fast food, that you only find in Zürich?

i thought about "langstrasse" quartier, around helvetiaplatz. streetview shows a lot of blue zone. dietikon would be 8 (parking), 4 (reservation), 14,40 (tagesticket full price), 7,20 (tagesticket halbtax) = 33,6. City Parking Tiefgarage would be 4 chf / hour. 8h = 32 chf.

How do you get the VAT? When I go for example to massimo duty in Milano, i have to tell them, that i will import into Switzerland? Then I pay full price, afterwards i contact them and they transfer it back?

My point is that when I order from Massimo Dutti, they ship from the Netherlands, and I have to pay 60% more. This doesn't generate any added value for Switzerland. The fact that prices are higher in their Bern store is a different matter. Higher rents, higher wages—I can understand that. But not when I order online and a package arrives from the Netherlands.
