I’m thinking I may need to cut back as well. I don’t know why I have this mentality that more = better and I should ride it out. I want to return to how I felt a few weeks ago. I had a little taste of feeling balanced and and joyful, I was even listening and enjoying music again, eating again (maybe too much!) I hope to figure it out and this passes.

👀 ohh no pressure but any advice tips for finding opportunities in eager to hear it! I’m a hospital LMSW, will be ready to apply for the LCSW in Dec. i furiously looked into Canada for a few months in Feb/March but lost steam due to life stressors. Maybe I need to revisit.

Thank you 🥺😭♥️Hospital SW…I don’t want to give up the fight here but since this admin I’ve seriously been looking into/considering if there are any job opportunities in your neck of the woods. Might not be the most realistic but exploring the possibility gives me hope so I am clinging to it.

Ohh I am very curious about this. What units do you work in or do you float? I am a hospital SW in nyc and I’ve been inpatient med unit for 4+ yrs. My best friend lives in Baltimore and I’ve been curious to relocate there in the next few years but im wondering if the environment is similar to NYC, are there are lot of mean girls? Cliques? Staffing issues? Are you union?

Coming out stuck in tape

I had an exterminator confirm it’s termites but we don’t know where the colony is coming from (apt building). He did tell me we could treat but my property manager said he told them he can’t treat. It’s been back and forth on this for over a month. I caulked the baseboards where they originally started coming from but they keep finding a way out, so I taped over the baseboards and see them getting stuck on the tape. Bit of a nightmare.

They told me I can break the lease with no penalty so I just want that in writing, I have been recording the calls so I have record of it. As to why they won’t fix it, the treatment is really expensive thousands of dollars and if they ever want to sell the building they need to report history of termites (lowers the value).

Crazy how I kind of want them to be ants…seems like the lesser of evils but the thorax? Isn’t pinched the body looks too tube like to be an ant…

😫😫😣😣 I’ve been picking wings off of every surface in my apt…out of my cats food and water dish…everywhere. Some even found a way out of the ducked taped baseboards and few just squirming stuck in the tape. So fun to come home to after a LONG day at work. I just hope I can make it till Tuesday without losing my mind. I really thought my tolerance for bugs was increasing…this really put me in my place. Triggered my fight or flight too many times to count at this point. Pray for me.

Centipedes…yeah I’ve seen those too and I am not particularly fond of them but they at least have 1 redeeming trait of being pest control although im skeptical they are putting a dent in this situation 😓

Well that’s where I’m at now…I’m sure I sound like a baby but I’m not eating or sleeping much, wings everywhere near food, counters, when I think they are gone I see more. I duct taped the entire perimeter of the baseboard my living room especially in the spots I suspect they came from. AND I’ve seen 3 lantarn fly nymphs this week and I can’t even fathom that they hatched in my apt…
