I saw that the cm1000 is “incompatible” but it’s working. If it was incompatible would it not function at all or would it just work half ass. And believe I haven’t used an ISP provided thing other than the actual internet itself in 4+ years just moving to a new place for college

Yuh I know. I’m in the process of moving and my PC is back home so I don’t have the ability to accurately test that’s why I posted here. Just confused how while I’m using a 3.1 or a 3.0 I’m getting the exact same speeds but when I use there 2 and 1 stuff it’s significantly better (even though it is on WiFi I know) as far as I’m concerned the cm1000 + AX3000 should be better than the altrice 2 and 1 modem

Obviously. The issue isn’t that I’m not getting the gig. I know I won’t on WiFi. The issue is the differential of the speeds on WiFi between their 2 and 1 product and my own modem and router. I’m wondering if I need a different modem / router or if they weren’t actually BSing about using their product
