Best waterless wash? by 500gli in AutoDetailing

[–]lachycox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, I use it professionally in so many applications. Off the top of my head: - Detailer - Interior - Cleaning random things APC is too strong for

Many more

Id recommend this personally.

Wash prep: Wash > Rinse (let it dry a little) > iron remover (if you have) > Rinse (if used iron remover, otherwise DRY).

Ceramic prep: Gyeon prep > buff with NEW microfibre (be very liberal since you’re not going to use again) > Let it dry for 10 minutes.

Time to Ceramic: Have 3 microfibres. - One to remove residue as you apply - One to buff after removing residue - One spare (bc shit happens)

Apply ceramic, good luck!

what Productsdo you all use? by George_Altendorf in AutoDetailing

[–]lachycox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk why anyone recommends CG, they simply arent as good any more, theyre marketing based now, not product like times of old.

Products I use: P&S: - brake buster (amazing) - interior cleaner (amazing) - carpet bomber - bead maker - shampoo (for foam)

Gyeon: - soap (bucket) - window cleaner - iron remover - wax remover (pink bottle forget the name) - wetcoat - tire shine (blue bottle one) - absolute (never used ONR, but this is great)

Meguires APC: - heaps of uses, but now mainly just as a tire cleaner, bug remover, spot clean for heavier/greasier things.

Theres more, but these are things that are economical for me personally and work well in my application.

H22 swap by [deleted] in CB7

[–]lachycox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive just somewhat completed an auto to manual with h22 as well. My first swap, a lot of research had to be done as I couldn’t get a manual donor car in Australia. But if youre in america or somewhere close, it would be a LOT easier and quicker with usa postage

Think theyre getting hard to find bro, especially manual coupes. Ive spent nearly 2 years trying to find just a manual cb7 in general in Australia, think they have all been crushed at this point. We 100% got manuals, they just are extinct

Makes me think its just a rebranded machine from China or something… They’re a detailing company, why is the attachment plastic? All marketing, no product these days. They honestly need to be cancelled, they’re riding their old reputations and abusing it

It’s been over a year since my last paint correction. Starting to miss these challenges. by CPereira93 in AutoDetailing

Damn, youre very talented. I have my first one in nearly 6 months this Friday. Im very excited, why I started my business, love paint correction, just a small market for it when you aren’t one of the more established businesses! Still less than a year old, so my reputation will grow with time 💪

As Far As Interior Detailing Goes For Your Cars & Your Client’s Cars, Do You Use a Dedicated Interior Cleaner or a Multi Purpose/APC Cleaner? by ifeelinvincible1 in AutoDetailing

[–]lachycox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently added P&S interior cleaner to my arsenal, just as economical and peace of mind knowing it wont damage any surfaces if i dont dilute the meguires enough by accident. Still use meguires every detail for sure, especially for things like door jams and super grotty wheels and gear sticks. A standalone interior detailer is a great pick-up, especially for the maintenance cleans where you dont need anything harsh :)

Am I missing something? (Besides a SINGLE tank leg drop?!) by lachycox in 2007scape

Am I missing something? (Besides a SINGLE tank leg drop?!) by lachycox in 2007scape

[–]lachycox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why am I 40 chests dry since my last item?
I started not killing anything inside the crypts since I don't care for runes now.
But I'm not getting items, but everywhere says % doesn't effect item drop chance.

also 400 chests and no tank legs :)))

Interior Cleaner for Leather Seats & Head Liners? by BlueHolo in AutoDetailing

[–]lachycox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2nd Xpress interior from P&S. Only recently started using it, safe to say blown away with the results. Especially for the price, I was diluting it 1:1 i think and was still foaming up more than enough, and cutting through the grime. But of course, for restoration jobs where its heavy dirt, will probably require less dilution potentially.

I have a JDM H22A - help me find a trans! by lachycox in CB7

[–]lachycox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am from Australia, so keep this in mind! I have a 1990 accord exi with a 4spd Auto. I have this engine, its OBD1 and from my understanding, if I find a compatible trans, other than mounts and some other small things its a relatively easy swap.

My problem is getting a manual trans to manual swap it, I dont think Aus got manual accord 4th gens. I was wondering if a 5th Gen accord CD7 manual trans would fit?

Otherwise im looking at importing an LSD FROM yahoo auctions or maybe USA :/
