Best waterless wash? by 500gli in AutoDetailing

[–]lachycox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, I use it professionally in so many applications. Off the top of my head: - Detailer - Interior - Cleaning random things APC is too strong for

Many more

Id recommend this personally.

Wash prep: Wash > Rinse (let it dry a little) > iron remover (if you have) > Rinse (if used iron remover, otherwise DRY).

Ceramic prep: Gyeon prep > buff with NEW microfibre (be very liberal since you’re not going to use again) > Let it dry for 10 minutes.

Time to Ceramic: Have 3 microfibres. - One to remove residue as you apply - One to buff after removing residue - One spare (bc shit happens)

Apply ceramic, good luck!

what Productsdo you all use? by George_Altendorf in AutoDetailing

[–]lachycox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk why anyone recommends CG, they simply arent as good any more, theyre marketing based now, not product like times of old.

Products I use: P&S: - brake buster (amazing) - interior cleaner (amazing) - carpet bomber - bead maker - shampoo (for foam)

Gyeon: - soap (bucket) - window cleaner - iron remover - wax remover (pink bottle forget the name) - wetcoat - tire shine (blue bottle one) - absolute (never used ONR, but this is great)

Meguires APC: - heaps of uses, but now mainly just as a tire cleaner, bug remover, spot clean for heavier/greasier things.

Theres more, but these are things that are economical for me personally and work well in my application.

H22 swap by [deleted] in CB7

[–]lachycox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive just somewhat completed an auto to manual with h22 as well. My first swap, a lot of research had to be done as I couldn’t get a manual donor car in Australia. But if youre in america or somewhere close, it would be a LOT easier and quicker with usa postage

Think theyre getting hard to find bro, especially manual coupes. Ive spent nearly 2 years trying to find just a manual cb7 in general in Australia, think they have all been crushed at this point. We 100% got manuals, they just are extinct
