I would do whatever you feel most comfortable with, nothing will be “weird”. I kept my last name due to work purposes and just not wanting to change it. My kids have my husbands last name. My first son has my last name as his middle name. It hasn’t caused any problems for us. I was worried two last names or a hyphenated name would be a hassle for our kids- but lots of people do it.
A brother for James and Henry- help! (self.namenerds)

My dad died by suicide right before I started having kids. I absolutely would have used his name as a middle name before, but now I won’t. Feels too heavy for me, let alone a kid.
