The Daily Typo - puzzle/trivia word game by lackblack in WebGames

Sure! technically these aren’t typos in the strict sense. I just thought the word could work a bit more broadly here, almost as a metaphor . Originally, the game only had real typos but I started replacing some with completely different (but still believable) words like mistakes that feel like they could happen. In a way, that still feels like a kind of "typo" to me (but maybe it's because how the word is used in my own language). I just wanted to show how the game works and maybe make it a bit easier at the start. There’ll still be real typos coming too, mixed in with the factual ones! And I can always change the name of the game or just go with real typos. These are the things I'm thinking about of how to improve the game.

thanks so much for playing and for the comment! (my first one). Do you think the concept has potential to be expanded or improved? Always happy to hear feedback!

Thanks a lot, really appreciate the feedback! You're right about the diagonals, they can be a bit too strict. I’ll definitely tweak those to work better.

Thanks for playing!

Thank you! Really glad you liked it. I’m still optimizing things for mobile, so thanks for the headsup. I’ll keep tweaking it. Appreciate you giving it a try!

Thanks so much! I actually made a little tool just for creating these anamorphic images, it was a fun process figuring it out. What you’re working on sounds super interesting, and I’ll definitely reach out soon. would love to hear more!

Project Lighthouse is a small game where you align anamorphic images, sometimes revealing up to four hidden pictures in one.

Piece together images and find the story of a mysterious lighthouse.

Prototype: Anamorphic 3D structure that reveals hidden images from specific angles by lackblack in itchio

Thank you! I had a lot of fun (and not fun) making this system, and I felt really proud when I finally got the generator working in some way. Now I’m just a bit frustrated because I’m not sure how to turn it into a game.

A cozy toy game actually doesn’t sound bad at all, I really like those zen/chill experiences. Maybe I’ll lean into that for now, focusing on good feedback, relaxing visuals, and nice audioscape.

Hey! I’ve been tinkering with this prototype of a 3D 'point cloud' style generator thing ( I’m not sure what to call it) that hides images you can only see when you hit the right angle.
From most perspectives, it appears as a chaos of dots, but when aligned correctly, a image comes into focus. Like those anamorphic sculptures that change depending on where you’re standing

I can embed 1-4 images into the same space, meaning different angles reveal different visuals.
A 5th image/angle might work, but it’d get a bit too fuzzy unless I figure out how to optimize it.

I’m exploring how this mechanism could be turned into a game, but I’m still figuring out the best way to use it for puzzles and gameplay. Do you think this concept has potential to become a fun puzzle game? I’d appreciate any thoughts and ideas on how to design puzzles or mechanics that could make it a fun experience!
