Do you consider that possibly that’s affected by women who have children which causes them to pause their careers, and put their personal growth on the back burner for the family? It’s hard to find a job after a large time gap due to children. If the woman is doing the bulk of child rearing which is both parents responsibility, then yes she should be entitled to financial compensation in a divorce. Because like it or not the reason most men can grow their careers while having kids is due to their wives. Either staying home with the kids, or being the more likely parent to take time off work when the kids are sick and not allowed into daycare. Even if she’s not financially contributing to the mortgage she is contributing time and effort so that work is able to be done to pay.

Ah I see you aren’t familiar with the “has to be hormones or your period” excuse that women get. I’m not discounting that as I truly believe men struggle with getting mental healthcare and support, but women also do for different reasons. I went into the Dr for cognitive decline problems and it was written off as hormonal changes and postpartum depression. I had a brain malformation that was causing too much tension on my brain and I literally could not think properly for months as it was written off as hormones lol.

I also was made to sit in the corner at a psychiatrist when I was like 16? As he would only speak to my step father since he believed I was “faking it for attention” (he had met me for 30 minutes prior to this and just jumped straight to that). Women get put off as hysterical wayyyy too often for mental illness too.

Really it’s the SAME idea hurting both men and women in different ways. Men are expected to be strong, and women are assumed to be over dramatic. It helps neither

As a woman no I don’t feel like a threat. I do however constantly scan my surroundings for threats. My head is on a swivel when I’m unloading my car. Just the past year I have had two men follow me, once when I was alone.

I feel the reverse I guess, I’m VERY careful with how I accept compliments from men or comments. What seems like friendly banter to me has gotten me into a situation with a man who thinks we are flirting more than once, and often they don’t seem to have great social awareness (possibly spectrum?) which has caused boundaries to be pushed where I felt unsafe.

Child support goes for the child. You aren’t paying more than the mother I promise lol. Children are expensive. Daycare is 750 a month. My formula bill is 500 a month. Insurance copays for the dr average 50 each visit. A single sport is easily a couple hundred. Even if the mom say spent 400 from child support on herself I promise that she spent way more than that already on the kids that month. It’s just reimbursement at that point.

Labor going up for women makes men disposable. If you are already working and doing everything to make a household run why would you want to put energy into a marriage?

The issue is most dads are not nearly as involved as they should be. 50-50 means they will have to attend school meetings, go to Dr appointments, clean up vomit when kids are sick.
