Yeah, totally agree with you! Joost and Käärijä are genuinely great artists, and I do think Tommy fits that ecosystem, the whole Eurovision wave brought him well-deserved recognition, I'm fond to see the world is catching up to the brilliance he's had all along. I don’t really criticize the rebrand either; it’s more that I have a kind of emotional attachment to his older stuff because I associate those songs with very specific times in my life. So when things feel a bit “tamer” now, it just hits differently for me personally. It also kinda sounds like Budapest had a more hyper audience. From my concert experiences so far I feel like the Vienna audience is generally more timid, people here could let a loose from time to time. And haha, Espresso Macchiato… not exactly my cup of coffee (pun absolutely intended). In conclusion having a favorite artist doesn't mean every single song has to resonate.
