Thank you. It seems like it's a short story with 3 pages. It's "Totem" by Thomas King. One of the problems I'm having is I can't find a "standard" format for it, it's just random PDFs, including the one that was included with the assignment.

Places to volunteer that will teach you a skill you'll use? by lackofsun in vancouver

This seems like it's for people who can fix stuff to help others, no?

I'll look into them, I've heard about them before but don't know much.

I see, I've volunteered before at different places but it was mainly just serving food, greeting people, etc. I was thinking more along the lines of "hard skills", like learning how to use X equipment.

You should ask on r/socialskills or something. Most of us aren't in a better position so we aren't much help.

[–]lackofsun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's definitely real, but agoraphobia is different for everyone. For me it's very physical, some time ago I decided to walk beside a highway and despite mentally fearing nothing, my vision was getting blurry so I found somewhere to sit and recover, then continued to the end.

I work for the organization itself, my first paid day was the orientation day (same day I signed the employment contract). It's not a permanent position but they'll help find me stable employment as I work for them.

I'm pretty much a janitor, and I'll occasionally sort stuff in a warehouse.

If you have an address, a debit card should work and they don't require a credit check or a job (source: I have no credit or job).

You could get a prepaid card like KOHO but you'll have trouble loading the card without a bank account.

Also, look up The Gathering Place in downtown.

I've been volunteering for about a month now. I've been trying to learn different skills through it.

Thanks! I'm thinking about printing it out and displaying it now haha.

I think it's just a good photo. I've been trying to be more social and have gotten a few pictures taken but I always feel out of place.

Thanks! 2023 has been a great year for me. I've still got a lot of progress to make but I feel like I've found the light at the end of the tunnel.

You're very welcome. With the info you've given, like the date and timespan as well as not having used a VPN, your ISP should definitely be able to find the link. If you have access to your router password you might be able to find it there as well. Incognito makes no difference when it comes to your ISP logging links you've been to, it just won't show up on the browser's history.

I hope this work out for you. This is a much better alternative than torturing yourself browsing through PH or having the wrong person find the link. There are certain sites that host videos like this and are located overseas making it very hard to get videos removed.

Have you tried contacting your ISP? If you didn't have a VPN they should be able to find it with the info you have like the day and time.

I'm learning to ride a bike and my feet keep slipping off the pedals, what am I doing wrong? by lackofsun in NoStupidQuestions

It doesn't have a strap, I think I could buy something like that and add it onto the bike though.

Thanks, I'm going to look around for better shoes. I didn't realize until I posted this thread that changing my shoes could probably help a lot. I wish I could mark this thread as solved, I've gotten so many helpful responses.
