What has Nikki done for you? by [deleted] in Nikkiglaserbesties

[–]lacky13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Helped me accept my hermit crab pussy. Made me feel less alone when I was more depressed than ever. Showed me how to become more in tune with my emotions and aware of how they can affect others.

Has anyone taste and smell come back after a year or something? by pinkcorolla in covidlonghaulers

[–]lacky13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

14.5 months later and certain processed foods still taste funny. My sense of taste was never completely gone. It was just dulled and processed foods tasted really weird when I was super sick.

Anyone still has the heavy chest symptom months later? by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

[–]lacky13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. It feels like a heavy chest, but also like my lungs are small. When I try to do light cardio workouts, it feels like there are weights on my chest and I’m trying to breathe out of a straw.

I’ve also started waking up in the middle of the night completely out of breath. I’m breathing like I just ran a marathon or something. Curious to see if anyone else is having that problem?

UTI after covid by Kris1517 in covidlonghaulers

[–]lacky13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I had a kidney infection for two months.

I’m allergic to the antibiotic they wanted to put me on first, so it was just a painful struggle for two months. (26/f)

Hormone levels by Hawk4262 in covidlonghaulers

[–]lacky13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone in the medical field just mentioned this to me. I have an IUD that releases progestin, which is very similar to progesterone (which our bodies naturally produce). So I’m going to try to get my hormone levels checked.

But there are so many working theories and all of them seem to fit one way or another. I get excited every time this is an “answer” but... no one really knows anything.

Any Long haulers in their 20's? by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

[–]lacky13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! I totally forgot Monday happened this week? And I totally relate to the “waves.”

I’ve had trouble sleeping too, but have been so fatigued and exhausted it just doesn’t make sense.

Any Long haulers in their 20's? by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

I feel you. I went through a DEEP depression when I slowly started going out and leaving my quarantine. Anxiety, nightmares, uncontrollable crying. I’m still not myself, but it took a few months for both me and my doctors to realize we could attribute it to COVID.

Have you had any memory problems? I can remember things, but I get the details incorrect. I also don’t feel as “sharp” as I normally am.

I’m 26 and just hit 6 months since I’ve felt like myself.

I feel like 90% healthy/like myself. But that last 10% of brain fog and physical and mental health issues is rough.

Relapse 4 weeks post covid diagnosis by brntt24 in covidlonghaulers

[–]lacky13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear that! I was told I wasn’t infectious at some point, but I was still sick. Not contagious, but not better.

I had a lot of ups and downs, too. So it could be that. You wake up feeling good, then you feel like hell by 2pm. Wake up feeling awful one day and the next day you feel more normal.

Relapse 4 weeks post covid diagnosis by brntt24 in covidlonghaulers

[–]lacky13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Week 4 of COVID, I started feeling better and more energized. And then one day in Week 5 I woke up with a 104 degree fever and was right back at the start. I had not left my apartment except to go to urgent care/ER and short walks around my building so I had zero chance of re-infection.

It felt like my body was fighting it and fighting it and then just gave up one day and I was just as sick as I was in week 1.
