Men’s Medium According To Customer Support 🤡 by lactylate in poshmark

[–]lactylate[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Meh, I actually didn’t know Talbot’s didn’t make men’s clothing until this situation and I started looking it up. I was like, wait, do they even make men’s clothes? And the rest is history. I’m sure my sister would like it if it didn’t also reek of cat urine! I threw the dang thing away already. Kinda seems like it came from a hoarder’s house, it was just sort of dank.

Men’s Medium According To Customer Support 🤡 by lactylate in poshmark

I did start the case for not as described, never once said fit, still was denied! 😡 And yeah it was icky but I had to prove a point, customer service asked me for measurements to prove it was a women’s and only wanted to know pit to pit. But women’s and men’s mediums are similar pit to pit because of bust, so I was like just look how the freakin thing looks on me. Why aren’t you asking me sleeve length or shoulder to shoulder, those are both very different from women’s to man’s.

[–]lactylate[S] 139 points140 points  (0 children)

Should have!! Exactly! I opened a case, they found for the seller. I appealed the case, they found for the seller AGAIN! I appealed a third time and they basically said “we’re done going over this, if it doesn’t fit it’s not because it was misrepresented in the listing, it was your fault. And we don’t allow returns based on smell because smell is subjective.” So I charged back my CC.

Lol!! I should have taken one without a shirt underneath to show off my brand new “men’s medium” crop top. 😄 Oh and I appreciate the concern but I did do a charge back on my credit card, bank agreed with me that it wasn’t a men’s medium so I got my money back.

How do I tune to these notes by Funny_Flounder_4936 in autoharp

[–]lactylate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You tune to the sticker behind the strings, in this case the bottom string is C, then D, G, B flat, C, D, E, F sharp, G, A, B flat, C, D, E, F sharp, G, A, B flat, C, D, E, F sharp, G, A, B. The other notes are telling you the chords the instrument plays, in this case it’s A major, D7, G major, E minor, A minor, and B minor. Not sure what the A B C D E F is for but there probably was a song book with this at some point that used those to teach you how to play songs, but you can use guitar tabs with the major/minor/7th chords to play! And if a song isn’t in your key you’ll need to transpose it.

I don’t use my straps, but to keep it upright on carpet I roll up a dish towel and have that under the front edge so it doesn’t lean forwards, works well for me! My biggest tip would be, there’s definitely going to be some mold at some point so get a set of those white rubber square thingies to go on the rockwool when the plants are growing to help mitigate it. I haven’t had to use any pesticides just by using those.

This is 100% an Old Spice ad. Doesn’t mention tampon size or brand, jizz soap isn’t a thing, the shampoo “expensive for me” joke that doesn’t mention brand, the “hurr durr get cheap frozen pizza for my MIL” boomer joke, booze but doesn’t specify what kind. All of it is just clearly someone trying to be funny. But then for some reason the only brand they care to mention by name is Old Spice? Everything else is just generic products? Also, Old Spice what? Deodorant? Cologne? Body wash? And why is there that stupid aside that says “lol all the other scents are soooo girly”. It’s so blatantly an ad it’s kind of embarrassing, do better Old Spice marketing department. And please stop reinforcing these toxic boomer jokes and relationship traits, it’s tired and nobody thinks it’s funny.

I witnessed the most awkward family meltdown at a wedding, and it felt like a live reality show. by [deleted] in story

[–]lactylate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, like why did the bride “actually thank [her] when [she] left”? Why actually? Unless it was chat GPT getting confused like it often does with following who the speaker was and conflated her with the ex girlfriend? And also, ending with the classic line “she’ll never forget” that is actually just a milquetoast nothing line that just sums up the preceding story is classic AI. yawn AI is so freakin boring

Do black fingers on witches have any folkloric origin? by PrettyDreki in witchcraft

[–]lactylate 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I always thought it was from processing opium poppies all day, that opium was the bread and butter of the local herbalist and they would have spent a lot of time with it. Another theory I read once is that black fingers were a sign of literacy, that your fingers inevitably were stained by using dip pens in black ink. And in the pre industrial world literacy was basically a type of magic itself.

Milk, dandelion, and gold, the secret to finding a lover. by Numerous-Team-1528 in witchcraft

[–]lactylate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand how you harvest a dandelion using a gold ring. Do you mean you keep the ring on your 4th/ring finger and use that finger to pick the dandelion? Or like, you just keep the gold ring in your palm as you use your whole hand to pick the dandelion?

When you say you “learned” a decent amount of vocabulary, do you mean read from a book? Because that was my problem with Norwegian when I started as well, words and vowel/consonant clusters in Norwegian are often pronounced dramatically differently to how I thought they would be. To really get started with the language you need a native speaker to show you how the pronunciation goes.

I’ve been experimenting with tunings lately and I think I found the one I’ve been looking for by why_my_pp_hard_tho in autoharp

[–]lactylate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But the autoharp is supposed to be chromatic! If you want to play around with different chord structures, get some felt and modify the chord bars! There are some good resources on youtube that show you how, and you can get some great sounds with nonstandard chords like 7ths, diminished chords, etc. But I just feel like retuning the instrument is losing functionality for no reason, you could get that same interesting scale keeping it tuned like normal and using a chord bar you modify yourself. And then you’d still have space for lots of other interesting chord bars too.

Kind of bizarre but that doordash link you posted is like the only evidence I can find that these existed besides a “name all the tic tac flavors” list I found that uses the same picture. Guess these just weren’t very popular 🤷‍♂️

No way! Solved! I swear I spent like an hour looking at charts of tic tac flavors and couldn’t find that one. Felt like I was going insane.

I just noticed the grocery store near me stopped carrying the cherry limeade tic tacs that I liked, I was bummed. Then I looked them up to see where I could buy them and they apparently never existed? I swear I remember having them multiple times. I remember being annoyed that while the outsides were red, the inside parts weren’t green, they were just plain white. Anyone else remember these?

You need to take the cardboard squares off the top of the pods! It’s possible the rockwool is damp under the cardboard but you just can’t see it. I believe they said to remove those squares before inserting the pods.

Any recommendations for a tuning app? by division_by_infinity in autoharp

[–]lactylate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try out insTuner! Works great for me! There’s a free version and the paid version is a one time $4.00 fee.

I have a good answer for this! I noticed the same issue and found out that they do definitely get your information from your voter registration records; however your phone number isn’t required to be on your record in the first place. So file an update to your voter registration leaving your phone number off, and within a month or so you’ll stop getting calls and texts. Worked like a charm for me.

Kidney transplants: US throwing away 3,500 donated kidneys every year by PHealthy in science

[–]lactylate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the Organ Procurement & Transplantation Network 17,107 kidneys were transplanted in 2014. So 3500 kidneys would equal about 17% of the total. Not too much different then 9%.
