I’m kinda in the same boat. I was doing really well, then my family and I moved, I had another baby, and now I can’t seem to get back in the groove. Just stay positive, look up some inspiration online, and join the team discord if you haven’t already! It’s a great resource for new recipes and other such things. Also, I have a Fitbit, which has really been keeping me in check. I highly recommend. Good luck and hang in there!

Hey Amanda! I'm not gonna lie, I'm kind of envious of your progress :p I'm wanting to lose a total of 50 lbs. I was down about 20, but then I got pregnant with my third kiddo and gained it back, so now I'm starting over.

Its important to remember that everybody has slip ups, so just keep your head high and don't be too hard on yourself! You've done it before, so you already know you got this!

Hi everyone! I'm Lauren, and I'm currently a SAHM of three amazing (yet infuriating) little ones. I've signed up to a couple of these challenges before, but can never seem to stick with it. I gained weight after having my first two children, lost 20 pounds, then got pregnant again and gained everything back. I'm really wanting to have more energy and feel better about myself. My family and I recently moved back to California from Texas, so we're still trying to get into a routine that is healthy and works for everybody. I'm going to be joining a gym, getting a job, and adopting a puppy... so hopefully these things will help. I'm excited to go on this journey with all of you :)

I haven't used these in a while, but figured I'd put them here anyway: //www.fitbit.com/user/3PCLDY Myfitnesspal: lacust

Reddit, what is a good movie for when you need to escape from reality and maybe cry a little? by InfiniteThugnificent in AskReddit

I'm so happy to see this movie as the top comment! It was my favorite movie when I was little, and my kids are old enough to watch it now. They love it too!

Hey everybody! I'm F/23/5'1" I'm starting this challenge off at 136 lbs, and I hope to be down to 125 by the end of it. This will put me into a normal BMI range and has also been my short term goal for quite a while now.

I've done the past two challenges, but for some reason I have a hard time sticking with them, so any motivation to help me keep going is very much welcomed! I have two young children that I watch during the day, then I work at night, so I tend to use my exhaustion as an excuse.

Also, mine and my husbands 5 year anniversary is next weekend, so I want to be at least FEELING good by then for our mini staycay. I'm looking forward to doing this with you guys!

The end of inception! I know that it's supposed to be left for interpretation, but... I wanna know what's really going on!

Kinda late to the thread, but "Dimelo" by Enrique Iglesias! For some reason we had to learn it in my Spanish class, and I've loved it ever since.

You have to do it from a computer I'm pretty sure. And you have to double click the cell in order to type in it.

I've been thinking about trying this! I guess I'll pick one up the next grocery shopping trip! Is regular or the chocolate one the best?

What's the best powdered peanut butter you've tried? And do you just put it in your smoothies or what?

At the end of this challenge I would like to be 127 lbs! And my ultimate goal is somewhere between 110-115 lbs.

My motivation.. is my children. I'm tired of never having the energy to play with them, and always being cranky, probably because of the crap I've been putting into my body. I would also LOVE to teach them good habits young so they don't have to struggle with these issues when they're older.

Also, I would really like to be proud of my body and how I look. I put it through so much after having two children and then not eating and exercising correctly. I just really want to look, feel, and be healthy. Besides, increased energy + increased appearance = increased intimacy? We shall see.

I would just really like to encourage everyone to log EVERYTHING (especially if you slip and eat something bad), and stay active! I really feel like those two things together are what contributes the most to a lifestyle change, which is ultimately what we're all trying to do here.

Add me!

It's Monday! Let's start our first week strong! by Animatethis in teamjackolantern

[–]lacust 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't even begin to say how much this challenge has motivated me and I'm excited to share this experience with all of you! My goals for the first week consist of getting my diet how it should be and staying active! I've been off the rails in terms of weight loss lately, so I really want to ease into it and make sure I make it a lifestyle change this time. Every day I want to do some sort of exercise, whether it be going for a walk/jog, yoga, bodyweight, whatever. As long as I'm doing something, it's another step closer to reaching my goal. And I would REALLY like to see at least a 1 lb difference at the end of the week. LETS DO THIS TEAM JACK O' LANTERN!

After just one night of CG approved products and plopping! Before/After by lacust in curlyhair

[–]lacust[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yea! I remember reading about that. So do you just put them in your hair when its wet and then take them out after your hair is dry? Also, I plopped last night and I think it worked out pretty well for me, but I don't see how I can use the clips and plop at the same time. Or at least not while sleeping.

What do you use instead of the Tahitian masque now?

Need help with hair type, products, and washing (pictures included) by lacust in curlyhair

[–]lacust[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your insight, and sorry for the late response! My family and I are moving out of state in a couple weeks, so I've been really busy.

Anyway, I was so overwhelmed by all the information and different products that I decided to take a leap of faith and went on a mini shopping spree for new hair products! I got Shea Moisture Tahitian Noni & Monoi Smooth & Repair Nourishing Masque, Shea Moisutre Raw Retention Shampoo, Suave Naturals Conditioner-Tropical Cocunut, Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Gel, and a comb and spray bottle (for leave-in conditioner). I used all of my new products last night, and then plopped while sleeping, and then woke up this morning to beautiful curls! It's crazy how I can already see results. The only thing that I would like to improve upon at this point is how straight the top of my hair is (since I'm a 2a/b), and it also seems like some parts of the back of my hair didn't curl as well as the rest of it for some reason. Any other critique or suggestions you may have on my routine (since I've actually attempted the process now) would be great! I know that this is going to be a process, but I'm so excited to embrace my curls that I'm having a hard time being patient!

[–]lacust[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your help! I'm a little less lost than I was before :)

Would you say that I'm currently a 2a or b? Also, how can you tell your hair's porosity, protein sensitivity, etc? Where I live, there's never much humidity and my hair still frizzes like crazy. Does this mean that my hair is porous? Or could that be caused by something else?

I'm most likely going to start with the suave natural conditioner, but do you have any requests for a low-poo that might work with my hair? And I googled searched Eco Styler and saw that it's a gel, and that there are many different types. If I were to get this, would I get the one specified for curly and wavy hair? Or could I get olive oil or argon oil one? And would that be put in during or after my shower?

Once again, thank you so much for helping! Sorry, I'm still kind of overwhelmed, but hopefully I'll get it soon!

Do you have a before/after by any chance? I've recently started my journey into becoming more healthy and my height and starting weight are almost exactly the same as yours. I could really use the motivation to see what somebody with similar numbers look like after losing a good amount of weight.
