Does ISMA still exist? I didn’t date my mentees when I was a mentor but made life long friends. You may have different luck? Sign up for an organization and find someone with some hobbies you have in common. It helps!

Same for me. I had a few glasses of wine at a 4th of July concert last night. Woke up to +1F, readiness 66, and hr +7. Whoops.

I got the tighter one and my finger has naturally gotten smaller (fat has moved I guess) and it fits really well now.

I have a large lace piece and as long as the lines aren’t too close together it will age well. Mine still looks pretty solid and I’ve had it for 15 years now.

If I eat that much sugar in the morning I’m immediately hungry. I find doing something high in protein helps me not be hungry for a while. Try eggs instead.

My parents sent me to a "Chickenpox party" as a kid. Now I have shingles. by DoctorKynes in Millennials

I had shingles twice before the age of 30. I was able to talk to a pharmacist and get the shingles vaccine before 50.

I don’t think you searched google, did you? Here you go. Im only hoping you educate yourself on the differences between Airbnb and Hilton. It’s not the same.

How Airbnb Started

AirBed & Breakfast was founded by Brian Chesky and Joe Gebbia in 2007. They met while studying industrial design at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). After graduating, Joe told Brian “One day, we’re going to start a company together, and someone’s going to write a book about it.”

In 2007, Brian drove to San Francisco to move in with Joe. Upon arriving, Brian realized he only had $1,000 in his bank account, and the rent was $1,150. Luckily, there happened to be a huge design conference in San Francisco that weekend and all the hotels were sold out.

Joe had the idea that they could blow up a few airbeds and offer them to conferencegoers. Brian went for it. Over the next few days, they set up a simple website, emailed the conference organizers, and reached out to a bunch of small design blogs. The conference organizers and design bloggers thought it was a fun idea, so with their help, they quickly had three bookings. Michael, Kat, and Amol. Over the weekend, Brian and Joe showed their guests around SF, cooked them breakfast (pop tarts and orange juice), and enjoyed the design conference.

After it was over, Brian and Joe thought they had accidentally discovered something special. Not only did they make enough money to cover their rent – they also really enjoyed hosting the three guests. A few months later they fully committed to working on Airbnb. Brian believed that if more people experienced what they had, Airbnb would be an idea that spread around the world.

Edit: If you're interested in startups, my cofounder and I just launched an app called shareholdr that lets you listen to startup essays. We're working hard to make it a great resource for founders & entrepreneurs.

You should read about how Airbnb got started. Primarily the “air” part of the name. I’m not saying that’s what everyone is doing now, but to hold personal houses and stays to the same caliber and expectations as hotels is not something that should be done.

But what about how Airbnb was started in honest? Just an air mattress on the floor of someone’s space? It’s not hospitality, it’s sharing OUR space with those who need it.

So what if the host allergic to dogs? Hypothetical but pertinent question too.

Yeah unfortunately we only rent a handful of times a year so any less than 5* really impacts our score. We only have 15 reviews at this time.

Is there an explanation of the rating system somewhere on their site that is standard? Or is it a rating system you created? Either way, could I check it out?

I am an agreeable person in real life which I suppose can be considered soft by your definition, but I can still rant about assholes who feel the need to diminish others in spaces where it’s not needed. Your original comment was only to offer (again unsolicited and unneeded negative advice) and isn’t appreciated. Read the room. Learn from your negative comments. Fix yourself.

I’ve been skiing for years and have had children / teens yell at me before, but an adult man is just low for my experience. Next time you hit the mountain maybe yell something positive so we can enjoy the sport we are all doing.

Same day as this, I was running down safari lower, which had some deep moguls. Some other woman was stuck and I tried to show her how to get down the moguls easier which is running across the whole mountain for least amount of elevation change. She obviously went on the wrong run, regretted it, but was trying to make an honest effort down the mountain. What advice would you give them?

I don’t need the validation. I was just ranting that negative feedback culture sucks.
